Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the shooting of a student of Kwara State College of Education Oro at Agbamu area of the state.

The party alleged thugs belonging to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) committed the crime.
According to the State Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the shooting of the student at Agbamu is condemnable and reprehensible.

“We hereby condemn the unfortunate incident that happened at Agbamu where an innocent lady, who is a student of Kwara State College of Education, Oro was hit by bullets fired by thugs sponsored by the PDP," he said.

"These had thronged Agbamu for a political rally that turned out to be a violent gathering. We gathered that the lady was promptly rushed to the hospital in an effort to save her life,” Buhari said.

He said that it was shocking that the victim did not attend the rally but was doing her own activities at her house and hit by what appeared like a stray bullet.

“This unfortunate incident clearly shows that there is no limit to the desperation of the PDP to ignite violence, tension, fear and cause voters apathy ahead of the general elections,” Buhari said.

Buhari added that the incident had vindicated and confirmed APC position that the PDP, which could not be reached for comment, was working to implement an "evil agenda" ahead of the elections.
He demanded justice for the victim.

"The victimised lady deserves justice. At least, if the security agencies couldn't protect her from being shot, the security agencies should be able to ensure justice for her sake.”
