Abuja - With 37 days to the presidential election, the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday disclosed that not
less than 15 567 219 Nigerians were yet to collected their Permanent
Voters’ Cards (PVCs), reports ThisDay.
The
disclosure indicates that 38.7million Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)
have been distributed nationwide out of the 54.3million PVCs with the
commission.
INEC in data release on Thursday, revealed that only 71.35 per cent of the PVCs have been distributed so far.
According
to the breakdown, Jigawa State has the highest number of PVCs
distributed with 1 460 620 (94.12 percent) as against 1 551 831 received
by INEC. Anambra State, however, scored the lowest percentage of
distribution with 51.81, as out of 1 665 342 cards received by INEC,
only 862 747 cards were distributed.
