Jonathan's campaign coordinator rejected in Ondo SHARE THIS 2015-01-19 17:16

Akure - Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo (PDP) have rejected the appointment of Modupe Tokunbo as the State Coordinator of Jonathan’s Campaign Committee in the state, reports Thisday.

Modupe  belongs to Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s faction in the party.

In rejecting Modupe, the aggrieved party members noted that it was wrong for the Mimiko’s faction to produce the state coordinator since Mimiko has been appointed as the coordinator of the campaign in South West.

They are demanding that one of the leaders of the old PDP should be appointed.

They vowed not to work under the umbrella of the leadership of Modupe.

President Goodluck Jonathan was forced to cancel his campaign to the state following the crisis rocking the party in the state.
