Abeokuta - Contrary to insinuations that former President Olusegun
Obasanjo has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All
Progressives Congress (APC), the former President says he is still a
member of the party, reports The Nation.
Obasanjo,
who spoke in Abeokuta on Thursday when the presidential candidate of
the National Conscience Party (NCP), Martins Onovo, visited his Hilltop
home, said he is still a card carrying member of PDP because that is the
party on which platform he became the president of this country.
He, however, said he can't sacrifice his life for the interest of the party.
He noted that he can only sacrifice his life for the interest of Nigeria.
He
said he would not keep quiet about issues concerning the country,
saying every Nigerian is a stakeholder and must speak up when things are
getting out of hand.
