Abeokuta - Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed why he
chose the late former President Umaru Yar’ Adua as his successor,
reports Punch.
Obasanjo said he decided to settle for Yar’Adua because all the other candidates vying to succeed him were corrupt.
Obasanjo,
in an interview with a Lagos-based private television station, Channels
Television on Wednesday, said his choice of the late Yar’Adua was
guided by facts available to him then.
He noted that he took the decision with all sense of responsibility.
Obasanjo was, however, silent on those he alleged were corrupt and were angling to succeed him.
