Five governors shun PDP Governors’ Forum meeting

Abuja - Five out of the 13 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday boycotted a meeting of the party’s governors' forum in Abuja, reports Daily Trust.

The governors are Governors Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State, Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Professor Ben Ayade of Cross River State.

Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson was also absent at the meeting, but send his deputy, John Jonah.
Those in attendance were Governors Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, Capt. Idris Wada of Kogi, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu.

Others are Dave Umahi of Ebonyi, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom and Darius Ishaku of Taraba.
Mimiko was elected as the new Chairman of the forum.
