Deputy Speaker vows not to resign

Abuja -  The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun on Tuesday vowed not to bow to any pressure from the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to resign , reports Leadership.

Lasun noted that there was no basis for him to resign since the election that produced him as the Deputy Speaker followed due process.

Lasun, who spoke during the  inauguration of the 36-member House Adhoc Committee on Welfare in Abuja, denied that he was under pressure to resign for the candidate of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.

He described the purported pressure on him to step-down as mere speculation.
