Jega meets NSA team on state of security

Abuja - Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega will on Monday hold a stock-taking meeting with a team from the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), the military and para-military organisations on the level of their preparedness for the general elections, reports The Nation.

The meeting will also be attended by all the National Commissioners of INEC.

The meeting will be held under the Inter-agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES).
All parties will during the meeting lay the cards on the table and consider all what still need to be done before the elections.

Monday’s meeting will be the first between the commission and the security agencies since the elections were shifted by six weeks.
