Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it is still
going ahead to punish the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the Speaker,
House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and its erring lawmakers who
voted against the party’s consensus candidates in the just concluded
election of the National Assembly principal officers, reports Punch.
The party, however, said whatever disciplinary action it will take against them will follow due process.
The party reaffirmed its position shortly after an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.
The party said the errant lawmakers would be notified about their alleged offences and given an opportunity to respond.
