CCT: Tinubu meets Danladi, orders Osinbajo to get Saraki out of office
CCT: Tinubu meets Danladi, orders Osinbajo to get Saraki out of office
The National leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reportedly reached an agreement with the Chairman of Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar over the trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki on 13 counts of false asset declaration.
The CCT recently fixed March 10th for the resumption of the trail of the Senate President.A source privy to the details of the agreement, claimed Justice Danladi agreed to Tinubu’s demands on speedy trial of the Senate President and invocation of all sub-sections under Section 23 of the Conduct Bureau and the Tribunal Act to convict the Senate President. The agreement was allegedly initiated through the office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at the instance of his Chief of Staff, Mr Adeola Ipaye.Ipaye, a former Lagos state Attorney General and Justice commissioner, is a loyal aide of Asiwaju Tinubu. Tinubu appointed him as Special Assistant on Legal Affairs in 2011. He was later promoted in 2003 as Senior Special Assistant on
Legal Matters to former Governor Tinubu.
It was reliably gathered that Tinubu and CCT Chairman, Umar Danladi have a long standing relationship. The close relationship between the duo made their deal on Saraki smooth, a source who spoke on condition of anonymity claimed. When Tinubu was dragged before the Justice Danladi Umar-led Tribunal by Code of Conduct Bureau for false assets declaration in 2011, Danladi was poised to hand him soft-landing before he got express order from ex-President Goodluck Jonathan to free Tinubu. Tinubu was later discharged and acquitted.
The Code of Conduct Tribunal, empowered by the Code of
Conduct Bureau and the Tribunal Act can legally prescribe any of the punishments contained in Section 23 of the Act on an
offender.
Section 23 of the Act provides; “(1) Where the tribunal finds a
public officer guilty of contravening any of the provisions of this
act, it shall impose upon that officer any of the punishments
specified under subsection (2) of this section.”
Section 23(2), however, states: “The punishment which the
tribunal shall impose shall include any of the following: (a)
vacation of office or any elective or nominated office as the case
may be; (b) disqualification from holding any public office
(whether elective or not) for a period not exceeding 10 years; (c)
seizure and forfeiture to the state of any property acquired in
abuse or corruption of office.”A source close to Mr Tinubu, who confided in our correspondent, said the former governor of Lagos State has given the Vice President the mandate to remove the Senate President, Bukola Saraki from office at all costs.
The source quoted Tinubu to have said, “It is a done deal. I have told Yemi what to do. I don’t need any contract from him. He should get that boy out of office”.
Tinubu is widely believed to have single-handedly nominated Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as Vice Presidential Candidate to the then Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. The present Vice President serves as commissioner for two terms when Asiwaju Tinubu governed Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.
On the trial of the Senate President, the camp of former governor Bola Tinubu is reportedly strategising and has foreclosed any room for chances.
He secretly offered the 8 witnesses, billed to testify against the Senate President, $35,000 each with promise of security protection. Tinubu also promised the witnesses other supports that a close source declined to comment about.
The witnesses are: Yahaya Bello, Michael Wetkas, Mustapha Abubakar Musa and Nura Ali Bako. Others are: Adamu Garba, Samuel Madojemu, Abdulrahaman Bayo Dauda and Nwachukwu Amazu.
However, the trial of the Senate President has assumed a new political dimension.
A Villa source confided in our reporter, that close aides of President Muhammadu Buhari have reportedly told the President that the trial of the Senate President, initiated from the office of Vice President, is actually designed to get at the President in the long run.
Presidential aides discovered that some politicians in the South West region are scheming to nominate Senator Ahmed Lawan as possible Vice Presidential Candidate to run with the present Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as presidential candidate of the APC. According to the political calculation, even if President Buhari decides to seek re-election in 2019, the APC caucus in the South West will present the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to contest against him in the primaries.
The renewed plot to kick Saraki out of office, according to the source, is to make Senator Ahmed Lawan the Senate President and position him to run with Prof Yemi Osinbajo on the same presidential ticket. Tinubu has reportedly anointed the Vice President to take over the mantle of leadership from the President, Muhammadu Buhari, by 2019.
It is yet to be known how President Muhammadu Buhari will react to the new political scheme.
A Public Affair Analyst, Mr John Ogboru said, “with recent
revelations in respect to Saraki’s case, the President should not be
fooled, they are plotting against him. Isn’t it clear that it is rather
about politics than the anti-corruption crusade? What I see here is
Tinubu fighting Saraki using the Vice President, Danladi & co,
because he sees him as a potential threat”.

“This is warning, Biafra is a spirit” – Nigerians react to Ngige collapse in NASS

Nigerians express mixed feelings after Chris Ngige collapsed in the National Assembly – The minister of Labour and Productivity is presently receiving treatments – Pro-Biafra agitators believes his collapse is a warning from God The reported collapse of Nigeria’s minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige today, February 18, has got social media buzzing.
OUR REPORTER had earlier reported that the minister collapsed while defending his ministry’s budget before the House of Representatives’ Committee on labour. He was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment as his condition is yet to be known as at the time of preparing this report.
However, while Ngige’s collapse has been greeted with joy in some section of Nigeria populace who believes his collapse is not unconnected to his recent remarks on the protests by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) for a sovereign state. Others have taken to social media to wish the minister quick recovery. Nigerians react to news that Chris Ngige slumped in National Assembly Ngige had stated that the Pro-Biafran protesters are to the east, what Boko Haram is to the northern part of the country and the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in the southwestern part of the country.

2016 Budget: Sacking DGs Not Enough, Withdraw Budget, Fayose Tells Buhari

Fayose also queried the request by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, for a “special funding arrangement for public media organizations to enable them to scale up their sensitization campaign against insurgency in the North-East.”
According to him, Mohammed had to explain further to Nigerians his request since he said Boko Haram has already been defeated.
“What they told us was that they have technically defeated Boko Haram. What then do they need special fund for? Even last year, there was no such special fund.
“To my mind, there could be more to this clamour for special fund for media on ‘already defeated’ Boko Haram than meet the eyes.”
Fayose said what the controversial 2016 budget required was a holistic approach, not just making one person scapegoat, adding that; “the President must take total responsibility for the budget scam and apologise to Nigerians for the government’s embarrassment caused by the display of gross incompetence.”
Fayose maintained that padding of the budget with strange figures, now being denied by Ministers was a clear intention to steal in advance, adding that; “Though it is good that the President listened to my call for the punishment of those responsible for the national embarrassment, mere sacking of officers at the Budget Office will not remove the stain splashed on Nigeria by the shameful budget.”
He likened blaming an imaginary “budget mafia” for the padding of the budget to a driver blaming someone else for not applying the brake when it should have been applied, saying; “the bulk stops on the President’s table, he can’t blame anyone apart from himself for this national shame.”
“Sacking one or two persons on this budget scam is just like using some people as cover-up for the national embarrassment caused by the President himself. Even the President himself signed a letter wrongly as October 22, 2016 and one is tempted to ask who the President will sack for these avoidable errors.
“In my own opinion, it is necessary that those handling the President should bring it to his consciousness that he is not God that cannot make mistakes and this budget scam must be seen as part of the mistakes that President Buhari is capable of making.
“By doing this, the President will be provided with another opportunity to represent the Budget because I wonder how Nigeria can operate on a budget already disowned by notable ministers, including the government’s spokesperson.
“Or what remedy can anyone do to a budget in which 2015 budgetary allocations of an agency was reproduced verbatim? Even N180 million was discovered to have been allocated to NIMET twice.”

Details of Diezani’s Foreign Diplomatic Passport Revealed in Interview with Dominica Officials
Details of Diezani’s Foreign Diplomatic Passport Revealed in Interview with Dominica Officials
While writing in the Huffington Post, a prominent journalist interviewed two officials from the Commonwealth of Dominica government on the citizenship status of the former Nigeria’s Minister of Petroleum Resources.
The Commonwealth of Dominica, like many small nations, allows for
people who invest in the Dominican economy to receive citizenship under
the law. This practice, which has been growing in popularity worldwide,
is a major source of foreign direct investment into the Dominica,
according to the reporting by Mr. Bruckner.
Vince Henderson, Dominica’s permanent representative to the United
Nations, and Emmanuel Nanthan, the head of the country’s Citizenship by
Investment Unit, were interviewed on questions surrounding Dominica’s
Citizenship Programme and its efforts to increase foreign direct
investment.
The issuance of diplomatic passports to non-citizens is a crucial
aspect of the program as it encourages various foreign business leaders
to serve as “ambassadors” for the Dominica, according to the Dominican
officials.
Mr. Bruckner questioned the ethics and practice of granting these
passports, citing Mrs. Alison-Madueke as an example of a passport holder
who clearly is corrupt.
Both Mr. Nanthan and Mr. Henderson argued that the Dominica
government followed its due diligence before issuing Mrs. Alison-Madueke
her passport.
However, the embattled former minister was given her passport only 6
days after meeting with the Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit
in London, leading to questions about how thorough or serious her
citizenship process was.
The Dominica officials argued that Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s passport
approval process was begun long before she met Prime Minister Skerrit.
When questioned on the secrecy behind the former minister’s
appointment as the Trade and Investment Commissioner for Dominica, Mr.
Nanthan and Mr. Henderson admitted that the Dominican government should
have been more forthright regarding the appointment.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke has been in the UK receiving treatment for
cancer since former President Goodluck Jonathan left office in May 2015.
In October, she was arrested by agents of the National Crime Agency in
the UK accused of money laundering and other financial crimes.
It has also been alleged that Mrs. Alison-Madueke was planning to
flee the United Kingdom using her diplomatic Dominica passport but that
plot was spoiled when the UK authorities arrested her and suspected
accomplices.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke worked for Shell Petroleum prior to her
appointment to the cabinet of former President Umaru Yar’Adua. Upon Mr.
Yar’Adua’s death in 2010, President Jonathan appointed Mrs.
Alison-Madueke to the Petroleum Ministry. She was widely regarded as one
of the most powerful members of Mr. Jonathan’s cabinet.
Her tenure was marked by numerous questionable deals, including
controversies over billions of dollars of oil revenues that were
reportedly not deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Nigerian anti-corruption police investigators told SaharaReporters
that serious investigations and collaboration with the UK, and the US
would continue to determine the scale of corruption perpetrated by Mrs.
Alison-Madueke and her collaborators. Earlier, her husband was arrested
by agents of the anti-corruption unit accused of laundering over
$600,000 for his wife.

Ibori: UK police chief faces probe for alleged bribery
Ibori: UK police chief faces probe for alleged bribery
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, a court was told that the Met and the CPS repeatedly concealed documents suggesting that officers, investigating a former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, for fraud, were paid to leak details of the inquiry that could have helped him evade justice in 2012.
The extraordinary case centres on Scotland Yard’s prosecution of James Ibori, who once worked as a cashier at a branch of Wickes DIY store in West London before becoming Delta State governor.
Ibori is currently serving a 13-year jail term for money laundering in a UK prison as well as his lawyer, who was also jailed for seven years after admitting fraud, although he claimed he was wrongly advised to do so by his then legal team.
One detective was said to have received at least 19 unexplained cash deposits, totalling thousands of pounds, into his bank account after illegally disclosing sensitive information, a judge heard.
But when the corruption allegations were revealed by a whistle-blowing lawyer, Bhadresh Gohil, he was accused of forging the evidence and charged with perverting the course of justice.
Police privately expressed fears that his devastating claims could undermine the £50m fraud trial.
Last month, the charges against the lawyer were dramatically dropped after the CPS was forced to produce crucial papers, which it had always insisted did not exist, that suggest serving Met officers took bribes.
Although the Met insists no corruption took place, the case leaves the Met Commissioner – already under fire for his refusal to apologise for the Yard’s disastrous historical sex abuse investigations – facing difficult questions from the Home Affairs Select Committee this week, as he was personally warned about the potential miscarriage of justice three years ago.
The CPS’s handling of the case, criticised by former police as well as the defendants, will also increase pressure on Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders, who faced calls to quit over her failure to put Lord Janner on trial.
The Daily Mail further reports that a Met Commander, Peter Spindler, who reported directly to Hogan-Howie, told the BBC the corruption claims were bogus without having checked if documents were genuine.
Gohil told The Mail on Sunday, “I uncovered serious corruption, but when I tried to expose this, I was victimised. Astonishingly, the CPS used the might of the state and all its resources to cover up what had happened, and brought trumped-up charges to persecute me. The truth has finally unravelled.”
The chairman of the Home Affairs Committee, Keith Vaz, said, “Members have indicated they will want to ask the Commissioner, when he next appears before the committee, to deal with the latest developments which raise a number of new questions.”
Abia North: Kalu’s Candidature Good For Igbo Race, Says Ohaneze
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the apex Igbo
socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Ralph Obioha, has
cautioned the duo of Chief Igariwey and Dr. Nwaorgu against making
comments on behalf of the body, noting that they both lack the official
status to make decisions for the group.
He made this declaration while reacting to a counter-statement issued by Dr. Nwaorgu stating that Ohaneze denies endorsing the candidature of the former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu.
Obioha explained that the endorsement of the businessman-cum-politician for Abia North Senatorial rerun is not out of place taking into consideration his contributions to the Igbo cause and Nigeria in general.
According to the Chairman, it is unfortunate that Nwaorgu has the effrontery despite the expiration of his tenure as Secretary General of the body, to speak for Ohaneze Ndigbo when he has no official capacity nor moral right to do so.
Why I am a partisan Chief for APC—Chief Okponah
Obioha remarked, “considering our objective of repositioning the
South East in all ramifications through the Ohaneze Ndigbo platform, we
will not allow selfish and money-conscious individuals to distract us
from forging ahead.
“The use of the apex Igbo body to meet selfish interests will no longer be tolerated.
“The likes of Gariwey and Nwaorgu are capable of destroying the reputation of the Ohaneze Ndigbo if not curbed immediately.
“Igariye who ceased to be chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo two years ago…. He has been parading the doors of politicians for one favour or another in the name of Ohaneze”.
Affirming the endorsement of the former governor , Obioha added, ” having carefully reviewed the antecedents of candidates for the Abia North Senatorial District rerun poll, it is in the interest of the Igbo nation to throw their weight behind a strong advocate of the Igbo cause in the person of Orji Kalu.
NDIC Runs Risk-Based Supervision Course
“It should be noted that the red chamber is a platform for people
with political clout and pedigree. Kalu will use his network of contacts
to ensure the correction of the imbalance in the South East.
“The cap fits Kalu”, he concluded.
The Chairman, while appealing to sons and daughters of Abia North to remain steadfast and committed to the candidacy of Kalu , added that the statement issued by Dr. Nwaorgu is misleading and false, noting that Kalu’s contributions to the society have earned him large followers over the years beyond the South East.

BREAKING NEWS!!! Biafra: We’ll Now Carry Arms in Self Defence – IPOB
Members of the pro-Biafra group, Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, have resolved to carry arms from Wednesday February 17, 2016, ‘in self-defence’.
The group said in a release yesterday in Umuahia by its spokesperson, Emma Nmezu, that failure to carry arms had exposed its members to attacks and killings by security agents.
“Now, we have come to the painful but irreversible conclusion and determination to take our fate and destiny in our own hands. Starting from Wednesday, February 17, 2016, “Biafrans” will now be in the mode of self defence as enshrined by the relevant acts and declarations of the United Nations.
“Let no country or world leader attempt to tag us as terrorists because we are not terrorists, rather we are fighting for our survival and from being exterminated from the surface of the earth,” the release said.
“We shall defend ourselves with everything and anything necessary to avoid the continual killing of our mothers, fathers, and children. This is the time for all Biafrans to rise and defend themselves. We cannot fold our arms and watch them kill us the second time after killing over two million of us in 1968”.
The release added that in September last year, IPOB catalogued attacks on its members in a statement where it alerted the world on plans to provoke Biafrans into retaliation only for it to be tagged as a terrorist organization and Biafrans as terrorists.

The President of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, have both taken a swipe at the Presidency, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over their recent attacks on the judiciary.
The CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, and the NBA President, Augustine Alegeh, SAN, on Wednesday, February 10, during the valedictory court session held in honour of a retiring Justice of the Apex Court, Muhammad Muntaka-Coomassie, in Abuja refuted claims of “corruption” and “bias” against the Judiciary.
Recently, judgments of the Supreme Court on the dispute over the 2015 governorship elections in States such as: Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Delta, and Ebonyi, have drawn criticism against the judiciary, with many labeling the apex court’s decisions as a product of corruption.
Following the decision of the Apex Court to uphold the election of the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, the APC candidate in the state, Dakuku Peterside, has alleged that the court’s decision was procured.
He maintained that the Apex Court’s judgment that affirmed the election of Wike, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was contrived to legalize electoral violence and rigging.
Recently, Buhari had taken a swipe at the integrity of the judiciary and its ability to dispense justice in cases of corruption, without compromise. Adding that the temple of justice was his major “headache.’’
The EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, was not left out, as he has also passed a damning verdict on members of the judiciary.
Magu made this allegation during a forum on Wednesday, February 10, as he accused prominent lawyers of frustrating the ongoing war against corruption in the country.

The Nation reports that 10 people were killed and another 20 were injured as a result of the clash between the protesters and security agencies.
According to unconfirmed reports, over 30 IPOB members are receiving treatment in various hospitals in Aba, while another 20 have been arrested by the police.
An IPOB official who pleaded for anonymity said that the protesters gathered at Ibo National High School for prayers.
“In the morning, we gathered at Ibo National High School for prayers and address by the Aba coordinator,
“While the prayers were on, we noticed police patrol vans and because we locked the gate, they could not enter. They attempted to scale the fence, but could not. Shortly after, soldiers came in Hilux vans and scaled the fence.
“When they entered, they asked for our coordinator but we resisted them. The next thing we heard was gunshot. I can’t say how many died because there was a stampede as people tried to escape,” he said.
He revealed that the security agents arrested the group’s coordinator in Aba identified as Ikechukwu and some of his assistants.
He further stressed that no amount of killings or intimidation would discourage the IPOB from pursuing its cause. He added that the protest would continue on Friday, February 12.
When contacted, Ezekiel Onyeke, the spokesman of the Abia state police command, said that he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
Meanwhile, a source at the 144 Battalion at Ukwa West denied the allegation that soldiers shot members of the IPOB. He revealed the arrested protesters had been handed over to the police for further investigation.
Vanguard reports that on the same day Enugu police arrested 25 members of IPOB, who had gathered at the Naira Triangle in preparation for a protest march tagged “Mother of All Protest Marches”.
The march was nipped in the bud by security agents who stormed the venue where the protesters were trooping in numbers.
As a result of the physical show of strength between IPOB and security agents, many protesters sustained injuries. Many took to their heels when the police released shots of tear gas into the crowd.
Emma Powerful, the media and publicity officer of IPOB, blasted the security agents for their attitude towards protesters. She stressed that IPOB is not a violent group and its members were gathering for a peaceful march.
Meanwhile, civil society organizations in Abia state under the auspices of the Abia Human Rights Agenda condemned “the killing of defenceless protesters”.
The group called on the chief of army staff, Major General Tukur Buratai, and the inspector general of police, Solomon Arase, to launch investigations into the events and prosecute those found culpable.
Speaking with journalists in Aba, the group lamented that over 15 people lost their lives in pro-Biafra protests in the city and described the situation as unacceptable.
“Over 10 people lost their lives during the protest against the detention of the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. Several others sustained various degrees of injuries as security agents clashed with protesters. Security agents must restrict themselves to the rules of their engagements in crisis situation,” the group said.
In November 2015, a protest staged by pro-Biafra activists also became violent in the city of Aba. A riot broke out following a protest by some pro-Biafra Zionists.

Senate accuses Buhari's aide of wasting national money
The Nigerian Senate
has accused President Muhammmadu Buhari’s aide Brig-Gen. Paul Boro
(rtd) of wasting N48bn of national money since he resumed office in July
2015.
This Day reports that the Senate committee on the Niger Delta claimed that Boro has spent N157.2 million on armoured cars.
The lawmakers, who asked not to be named, were especially anxious over the huge sums of money supposed to have been expended on the training of ex-militants between November and December last year.
The senator, who is a member of the Senate committee on Niger Delta, said: “The president claims to be fighting corruption while his aides are already swimming in corruption. Can you imagine a special adviser using a bullet proof Lexus car worth N55 million as an official car at a time the president is trying to stop us from buying our own official cars worth about N5 million each? So what happened to the monetisation policy of the federal government?”
The senator was especially angered that at a time the president had criticized the lawmakers for their proposal to buy official cars for senators and members of the House of Representatives, the Amnesty Office coordinator, who is just an appointee of Buhari, had since acquired as his official car an armoured Lexus LX 570 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with communications equipment for VIP movement.
They defined most of the contracts awarded by Boro as “mostly nebulous or frivolous.”
Another senator, who did not want to be named, added: “We expected him to restructure the budget he inherited from his predecessor at the Amnesty Office to fit into current economic realities and in line with the anti-corruption crusade of President Buhari. Unfortunately Boro is just spending recklessly.”
Buhari, during his first presidential media chat, wondered that the National Assembly planned to buy cars worth over N47bn, in addition to taking car loans and generous transport allowances.

Why Jonathan will never return to power - Toni Okoroji
Editor’s note: Almost a year has passed since last year’s election, when Muhammadu Buhari made history by becoming the first Nigerian to defeat a sitting president through the ballot box.
Toni Okoroji shares his views on why ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and his associates will never return to the power.
Forgive me but there are many who still believe that the announcement by Attahiru Jega on April 1, 2015 that Muhammadu Buhari had been elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was just one of those April fool pranks. They still expect someone to come to them and shout, ‘April fool!’ and assure them that Jonathan still holds sway at Aso Rock and that ‘Mama Pepe’ is still doing her thing. Even though the cup has been presented, the celebration has taken place and the referee has left town, to them, the game is not over. They are in shock.
In their calculation at the time, there was no way Jonathan was going to lose. How in the world would the smiling GEJ lose with the billions and billions of dollars ‘dasukied’ into the electoral system? Afenifere was dollarized. MASSOB was dollarized. Gani’s OPC was dollarized.
Nearly all the top pastors in Nigeria were dollarized and they spoke in tongues. The media was so dollarized that my otherwise very professional friends at AIT became more Jonathan than Goodluck. Even Nollywood was very well dollarized.
As long as the bucket continues to leak so badly, there will be no good schools for our children to go to, no proper healthcare facilities for our families, no good roads across our nation, no equipment for our security men to keep us safe and no jobs for the teeming masses of our citizens who are unemployed. I don’t care what part of Nigeria you come from or how you pray, I am sorry you are a victim of the massive robbery against our nation. If you pray for the failure of Muhammadu Buhari, you are grinding pepper and stuffing it into your eyes. I know of no special market in Nigeria where Muslims, Christians, Hausas, Igbos, Yorubas or whoever get discounts because of their ethnic origins or their religion.
Let me repeat that if we do not let Buhari do his thing, what happened in Ghana will happen in Nigeria. There will be no EFCC; there will no courts, no prosecution, no trials and no witnesses. There will be a Nigerian Jerry Rawlings and there will be firing squads. Your guess is as good as mine who will be hit by the bullets.
It is time we all chilled, got rid of all this hatred and for the sake of our children, got together and built a nation that provides a future for everyone.
Let’s get real and move on. His Excellency, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has had his time on the national stage. No matter how much we curse Buhari, Jonathan is not coming back as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Sambo Dasuki is unlikely to ever be National Security Adviser in Nigeria again; Diezani Alison Madueke is unlikely to be Minister of Petroleum again.
Chief Tony Okoroji is Chairman of the COSON Board. Tony Okoroji’s
first recorded works are contained in his 1976 album, Super Sure
released while he was eighteen years old. Okoroji however came to
national limelight in the early eighties with his release of several
cross over songs such as Juliana, Oriaku, Mama & Papa, Wishing You
Well, Locomotion, Otanishi, etc all of which became national favorites.
.He was simultaneously engaged as a music producer by the international
recording company, EMI.

Colonel Sambo Dasuki and former president Goodluck Jonathan
How in the world would the smiling GEJ lose?
Very soon, we will celebrate the one year anniversary of the historic 2015 elections in Nigeria that swept away the presidency of His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and turned the fearsome PDP behemoth that practically owned Nigeria into a very weak and maybe confused opposition party.Forgive me but there are many who still believe that the announcement by Attahiru Jega on April 1, 2015 that Muhammadu Buhari had been elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was just one of those April fool pranks. They still expect someone to come to them and shout, ‘April fool!’ and assure them that Jonathan still holds sway at Aso Rock and that ‘Mama Pepe’ is still doing her thing. Problem is that the bucket we gave Buhari has big holes all over it
‘By the way, why is Buhari spending so much time fighting corruption?’ ‘After all, corruption is not our problem’. ‘In any case, every Nigerian is corrupt’. Every day, you read a lot of bull. I have said elsewhere that Buhari is not a magician. When we elected him, we more or less gave him a bucket to go and fetch water for all of us in the Nigerian nation to drink. Problem is that the bucket we gave him has big holes all over it. Once you put any water into the bucket, the water leaks in different directions and there is very little left for the people to drink. Is it not wise to block the holes first so that the bucket can retain our water? As long as the bucket continues to leak so badly, there will be no good schools for our children to go to, no proper healthcare facilities for our families, no good roads across our nation, no equipment for our security men to keep us safe and no jobs for the teeming masses of our citizens who are unemployed. If we do not let Buhari do his thing, what happened in Ghana will happen in Nigeria
It is true that oil price has fallen very sharply and the Naira is struggling. It would not have been so bad if Nigeria had not been so badly raped and zillions brazenly shipped out of our commonwealth by those who rendered no meaningful service to our fatherland. I was at the Federal High Court in Abuja recently when one of our ex governors was being tried. I could not believe what I was hearing: the schemes this guy put together to take what does not belong to him.Let me repeat that if we do not let Buhari do his thing, what happened in Ghana will happen in Nigeria. There will be no EFCC; there will no courts, no prosecution, no trials and no witnesses. There will be a Nigerian Jerry Rawlings and there will be firing squads. Man believes he is pregnant after having homosexual sex
– A father-of-two man was hospitalized insisting he got pregnant after sex with a man
– For half a year he complained of baby movements in his stomach
– He demanded bed rest, avoided heavy labour and refused food
– Doctors diagnosed him with a psychotic episode
A married father of two children was taken to a psychiatrist by his family after he claimed he got pregnant following homosexual contact. The 52-year-old man, from Kozhikode in India, insisted he had been impregnated by a man he had sex six months ago.
He repeatedly complained to his relatives of stomach pains and weird movements in his belly. For several months he refused to do any labour-intensive work, demanded bed rest and at one point started rejecting food, as he allegedly had morning sickness.
When his worried family took finally took him to KMCT Educational Institution, where he said he could feel the baby moving inside. The baffled doctors performed a series of tests and expectedly found nothing extraordinary.
Dr Suresh Kumar said: “We never came across this sort of case before. He was an active homosexual in his adolescent years which may contributed to his beliefs. But, his homosexuality did not affect his marriage.
Usually, we see couvade syndrome [otherwise known as sympathetic pregnancy] in some dads-to-be who show certain symptoms of pregnancy (like nausea, weight gain or sleep problems) when their partners get pregnant.”
According to doctors, the unnamed man had the delusion that was successfully treated by risperidone, an antipsychotic medication. He is now recovering and after a series of counselling sessions stopped indulging in homosexual activities.

Pregnant teenager says Jesus is the father of her baby
– Teenager says she was divinely impregnated
– Adds that she will call for paternity test after delivery to confirm her statement
– Doctor says her pregnancy as a virgin has been confirmed
Latifah Smith-Nabengana, a pregnant 15-year-old teenager from Ohio
has claimed that Jesus Christ is the father of her unborn baby.
According to her, an angel, during an encounter in July 2015, ‘divinely impregnated’ her while explaining that she she had been chosen to bear a child for Jesus Christ.
World News Daily Report quoted her to have said: “He told me that he was a Nephilim, like those described in the Bible.
“He told that he had a message from Jesus, He said that I was going to be pregnant, and that I would give birth to a son, Jesus’ son.”
According to the Bible in Genesis 6:4, “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”
Everyone in her family has since shown support for her since she announced it to them.
Dr William Franklin Murphy, who has been monitoring the teenager’s pregnancy, informed that he is aware of her version, but is unable to either confirm or invalidate her claims.
The gynecologist said: “For all I know, her pregnancy seems normal. Her claims of ‘Virgin pregnancy’ are technically true, but that doesn’t mean there was a divine intervention. I can tell you that it’s a boy, but there no way for me to determine if it is Jesus’ son until he is born. If she asks for a DNA test at that time, then we can tell you who the father is.”
The doctor, being aware of some laws concerning medical secrets, refused to discuss any detail concerning the young woman’s pregnancy.
The young lady has further stated that she wants a paternity test as soon as her son is born, just to show that she was not hallucinating with her claims.

BIAFRA OIL BLOCK RENEWAL... BUHARI'S MAIN COME BACK MISSION
Mohammadu Buhari
|
"I will make
'Nigeria' ungovernable for Jonathan if APC fails at the presidential
pools" "If I lose the presidential bid, baboons and dogs will be soaked
in blood". "The Victory of APC is a do or die affair" These
were various utterances of General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) at various
times during his quest for the presidential sit. One may wonder if this
mission for political position is not just to serve ones own country.
How has it turned to be a do or die affair. More questions seeks
answers. Is there something else behind this determination to be the
president that will warrant spilling the blood of those you aspire to
'serve'? From the above hard stand statements of the blood sucking
junta, it becomes obvious and apparent that something greater than the
zeal to serve is propelling him. What is that? There are five refineries
in Nigeria capable of refining enough petrol and diesel for the
Nigeria masses, but the leaders in Nigeria prefer to export the crude
oil, refine it in their private refineries abroad, and import the
refined petrol back into the country and collect fuel subsidy from the
government, which amounts to billions of dollars every year. No wonder
every aspiring leader make their bid to win an election a do or die
affair.
It
is a known fact that 90% of all the oil blocks in Biafra land is owned
by the Hausa Fulani Northern politicians, and the immediate past
president of the contraption called Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, was
determined to reverse this imbalance, by making sure that the oil block
licenses of these Northern cabals which expire by the end of 2015 were
not renewed until there is a balance in the oil block allocation in the
three geopolitical zones that make up the Nigeria state. This decision
did not go down well with the Hausa-Fulani northern politicians. This
made them to unanimously nominate Buhari (who all of them know is not in
any way qualified to vie for the position of the presidency of
Nigeria), to run. Why the Choice of Buhari people may wonder? The reason
behind the choice of Buhari is the fact that he is the only one who is
ready to spill the blood of Nigerians without recourse.
BUHARI AND JONATHAN
|
Again, treason runs in his DNA...Treason does not mean anything to him, because he has committed treason time and times again and will not hesitate to overthrow Goodluck Jonathan if he failed to win the 2015 election, which he actually lost from every indication, but Jonathan seeing the connivance of Britain and America to overthrow his government on the night of the presidential election result announcement, decided to concede defeat even before INEC could announce the presidential election result. By appointing himself the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Buhari has confirmed that he has no other mission coming back to the presidential sit other than to maintain the status quo in the oil block allocation which he is currently poised to do. But we have a shock for the Hausas and their Yoruba cohorts who are now scrambling to get a share of the allocation of the Biafrans' oil land. The oil which Nigeria thrives on belongs to Biafrans and the time of reckoning has come as Biafrans are about to leave the contraption created by Fredrick Lugard in 1914.
The
unholy polygamous marriage between Hausa-Fulani Arewas, Yoruba Oduduwas
and Biafrans expired since 2014 and Biafrans are poised to leave that
unholy union that has seen over 10 million Biafrans slaughtered since
1945 till date. The Arewas and the Oduduwas can continue in the marriage
if it suites them. We hereby therefore advice the Yoruba Oduduwas not
to pitch their tents with the tenant when they know who the landlord is.
Renewing your oil block licenses with the Hausa led government of
Buhari is tantamount to losing your investment. Biafra is open for
this negotiation because the restoration of the sovereign state of
Biafra is unquestionable. Therefore be wise and do the needful.

SHOCKING; Boko Haram Terrorists Now Controls 50% Of Borno State – Senator Garbai
A senator representing Borno Central, Baba
Garbai has said that the federal government is lying when it says it has
“degraded” Boko Haram that that the terrorists are restricted to only
Sambisa Forest. He maintained that the deadly Islamist terrorist group
controls 50 percent of the state.
Garbai spoke with journalists on Saturday,
February 6, 2016 when he paid a condolence visit to Dalori, a village
near Maiduguri, capital of Borno State. He said that the military was
lying about the state of the war against Boko Haram and said that Boko
Haram was the ruling government in the areas of Borno that they hold as
their territory.
The senator revealed that the military controls
three local government areas in Borno and Boko Haram controls three
local government areas. The other 21 local government areas are jointly
controlled by the military and the terrorist group which has been named
the most deadly in the world.
Dalori was attacked by the terrorists on
Saturday, January 30 in a horrific rampage that left 101 people dead
including babies who were burnt to death.
The Senator said, “I feel highly demoralised,
devastated in the sense that this is the village we came during the
election and they were going about their normal business. The activities
that were ongoing was like confidence building.
“They actually got the signal a few days before
the attack that the insurgents were likely to attack them, they reported
to the constituted authorities but nothing was done.
“I will like to appeal to the military to
intensify their effort in ensuring they beef up security around the
villages and communities that share borders with Maiduguri metropolis.
It is very important and more so that this place is porous, there could
be attack from any direction.”
He maintained it was a lie that the military had
won the war against Boko Haram or even overpowered them as is being
presented to in the media by President Muhammadu Buhari. “It is a wrong
assumption that most of the local governments in Borno are recaptured
from the Boko Haram. In reality this is not true in the sense that apart
from Maiduguri Metropolis, Bayo and Kwaya Kusar, these are the three
local government that are under the occupation of the Nigerian
government where the military and police are maintaining law and order.
“Mobbar, Abadam and Kala Balge are 100 percent
occupied by the insurgents. There are some local governments that are
partially occupied by the insurgents especially as the local government
secretariats have been liberated but their hither-lands are still
controlled by the insurgents.”
Garbai revealed that Konduga which was said that
have been “liberated” from the terrorists still has many communities in
the local government area under the insurgents. He also said
that “though Gwoza town has been liberated there still remain six wards
in Gwoza local government area still occupied by the insurgents.”
“From my count, only three local government are
fully liberated, 21 local governments partially occupied by insurgents,
that is there is still some level of Boko Haram occupation side by side
the military or any other constituted authority. The local government
fully occupied by Boko Haram are Abadam, Mobbar and Kala Balge.
“We should not live under the illusion that Boko
Haram are decimated or weaken, these are not reality and neither a true
reflection of the reality. The reality is that most of the local
government in Borno is partially occupied by Boko Haram.”
He also condemned moves to force internally
displaced persons (IDPs) to return to their homes. He maintained that
such a move was putting people at risk as they were vulnerable to
attack.
He said: “If the people are moved back to their
homelands you are making them vulnerable to attack. Unless you provide
maximum security and return of law and order in these areas, relocating
these people would be endangering their lives.”

Nigeria is sliding dangerously, PDP warns
– PDP urge FG to genuinely engage Nigerians to achieve peace that brings development
– The PDP chair said the economy had degenerated under the APC
The acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Prince Uche Secondus has said that Nigeria is dangerously sliding and
wants the All Progressives Congress (APC) federal Government to
genuinely engage Nigerians to achieve peace that brings development.
He said at the thanksgiving and reception of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike in PortHarcourt, Rivers state capital on Sunday that the ruling APC should address series of disturbing challenges in the land and stop abusing Nigeria Judiciary because it did not go their way way.
Prince Secondus, who led other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to the ceremony, told the audience of top PDP leaders, including state governors and members of the National Assembly that Nigeria is sliding economically and politically with APC showing it has no solution in sight.
He noted that when APC took over power from the PDP seven months ago, the naira was exchanging for N160 to one dollar but noted that currently, the naira has suddenly dipped to 300 for a dollar under the APC government.
The PDP leader charged the APC to face reality and engage the various stakeholders, including business and political leaders to find a way out instead grandstanding that all is well.
Prince Secondus also described as dangerous to the polity, the continued abuse of judiciary and the use of military and other security agencies in purely political matters.
The PDP boss said that it has become vivid to all political watchers that PDP, even in opposition remains the largest party in Africa as indications has become very clear that APC is not a political party. He added that not even the harassment and persecution of its leaders would stop the party from providing a robust and constructive opposition.
Meanwhile, outspoken governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has opened up on what transpired in the 2015 governorship election in the state.
The governor had been implicated by Dr Temitope Aluko, a former scribe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Nigeria’s ex-president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, with rigging the last governorship election in the state.

Buhari: why me?
– President Muhammadu Buhari says he wonders why he came to power at this economic -challenging period
– The president said with God’s help, the country will experience better days
-The president addressed Nigerians in London on the state of the economy
President Muhammadu Buhari has wondered why he came into government at this period of economic challenges but expressed optimism in the success of the administration with God’s help.
The Punch reports that the president said this on Friday, February 5 when he was addressing the members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom in London.
President Buhari said he always wondered why oil, which used to sell for over $140 per barrel, would reduce to $30 per barrel during his time as president and why he wasn’t in charge when the country was financially buoyant. He said he however continue to pray to God to be merciful to the over 170 million Nigerians.
“With the problems we have in this government, I sometimes wonder. At least, this time around, I asked for it, I prayed for it, I went round the country and I asked for it. But the first time under the military, I allowed the military to take decision.
“But I say why me? Why is it that it is when they have spent all the money, when they made the country insecure that I returned?
“Why didn’t I come when the treasury was full? Oil price was over $140 per barrel and when I came, it slipped down to $30. Why me?
“I keep on praying to God to pity Nigeria and its over 170 million people who are exposed to climate change, illiteracy and poverty.”
Buhari said his administration had succeeded in mopping up over N2.2trn as of January through the Treasury Single Account arrangement. He explained that although it was introduced by former president, Goodluck Jonathan, he didn’t know why it was not implemented.
“You know the condition we are in now. I am sure with demands from home, in spite of what your effort is, you know we are really in trouble.
“We have tried to impose what we call Treasury Single Account. The reason is simple. This government did not initiate it; it was initiated by the previous government. But it was so unpopular to the bureaucracy, so the previous government for its own reasons, could not impose it.
“But when we came and we found out that we were broke, we said this is the way to do it.
“I will tell you two examples to convince you. Firstly, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation had more than 45 accounts. Ministry of Defence had more than 70 accounts. Tell me which Accountant-General can trace all these accounts?
“So, we imposed TSA. By the end of December, coming to January 2016, we mopped up more than N2.2trn which would have been used through bureaucratic system to raise vouchers and sign cheques so that they don’t go into the next budget.”
The president applauded the United States and Britain for preventing the previous administration from rigging the election. He recalled that Samdo Dasuki, the national security adviser had urged the service chiefs to tell the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that they could not guarantee safety during the polls. He said Professor Attahiru Jega, the chairman of INEC had guarantee 60 percent free and fair election at a point when the country had only managed 45 per cent.
“Then we insisted that election must be done according to the constitution.
“At this point again, I must hasten to thank the United States for sending the Secretary of State, Kerry, to go and read the riot act to the previous government and speak to Prof. Jega, the Chairman of INEC and speak to us as opposition that the US would not tolerate any election outside the Nigerian constitution.
“They maintained the pressure from that date until after the election and the formation of the new government.
“I think Nigerians honestly should thank the US for this. The same thing with Britain, they used all their experience and their powers to make sure that the Federal Government did not rig the last election.
“We thank God, we thank these super powers and we thank technology. Why we thank technology is because of the permanent voter cards and the card readers.”
Meanwhile, the president has handed over power to Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president while he is on a short vacation, a move that has generated reactions from Nigerians.

Delta pastor impregnates nine female church members
– Pastor impregnates nine church members
– Victims reveal how they were deceived
– Pastor says they are all liars
A Delta-based pastor has reportedly slept with and impregnated seven single ladies and two married women, all members of his church.
According to The Punch, the man of God simply identified as Dukes has been on the alleged act for over two years, a situation which has led to impregnation of the women.
Reports also say the self-acclaimed man of God had also seduced several young girls in neighbouring communities with the pretext of helping them with suitors before he relocated to Umunede to save face after his antics had been discovered.
Dukes was reportedly detained at Agbor Police Station by aggrieved parents of his victims for two days before being granted bail.
According to Josephine Ogor, a member of his ‘Light Of God Ministries’ church, “The self acclaimed reverend uses preaching, choirs and organised youth fellowship to get young girls.
“That was what he did in Ute-Okpu, Otolokpo neighbouring communities before he moved into Umunede and he was driven away by the elders of the communities, he likes girls of 15, 16 and 17 years he sleeps with.”
Some married women were also reported to have started carrying their marital problems to him, and known for his magical powers, the women were made to feast on his mind-blowing prophecies, especially unsuspecting members of his church including some highly placed politicians and businessmen across the state.
Some of his victims, Awele John, Marble Ogoan and Rosemary Iwendi, who claimed they were hoodwinked into sexual intercourse with him via magical powers, said: “Please Mr. Pressman don’t use our pictures.
“The man is fake, he uses magical powers to woo young girls he sleeps with, that was how we fell into his net, and our eyes were opened.”
And one of the married woman who fell prey of the pastor’s antics, said she had gone to the reverend’s house to seek advice on constant quarrels between her and the husband for possible solution when Dukes allegedly gave her anointed oil.
The woman who pleaded anonymity said she was asked to rub and take from the oil but she suddenly found herself making love with the reverend during the night.
“I saw myself having sexual intercourse with the Reverend in my sleep and I was shocked before I made it known to my husband,” she said.
The clergyman’s usual mode of getting people is by asking them, especially unsuspecting female miracle seekers, young girls looking for suitors, among others, olive oil bottles which eventually keeps them inseparable from him.
Dukes, when contacted, reacted in the negative, saying that the reports were attempts by people who want to blackmail and kill him as a true man of God.
According to him, “I am not responsible for their pregnancies, they are lairs.”
Two investigating police officers, who also pleaded anonymity at the police station, informed that, “We are currently investigating the Reverend after some parents of the girls he allegedly seduced reported the matter at the station, we have earlier arrested and released him on bail while investigation is ongoing.”
