A former President of the Senate, Chief Adolphus Wabara, on Saturday led hundreds of umidentified persons to block major reads īn the commercial capital, Aba, in protest at the appeal court’s removal of the governor.
Among major roads
they blocked were Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Osisioma junction,
Ogbor Hill and areas around Ariaria International Market.
They carried īnscriptions that
spoke of their rejection of the court’s verdict, ordering the removal
of Ikpeazu and the inauguration of the governorship candidate of the All
Progressives Grand Alliance, Alex Otti.
They vowed not to accept the verdict even as they said they would resist the alleged plan to inaugurate Otto on Monday.
More details later.
