Jonathan is APGA’s presidential candidate for 2015

Awka - Just like it did in the 2011 presidential election, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as its candidate for the February 2015 presidential election, reports ThisDay.

The candidature of Jonathan was adopted on Wednesday at the party’s special national convention in Awka.

Victor Umeh, APGA’s National Chairman, said the endorsement of Jonathan was informed by the need to have a leader who is a binding force that would advance national unity and remain a calm president in the face of hostilities.

He noted that the party was supporting Jonathan’s second term ambition because he pledged to implement the 600 recommendations of the recently concluded National Conference.
