Mugabe: Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesied removal of Zimbabwean president – Fani-Kayode

 

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has revealed that Prophet T.B.Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, predicted the ousting of President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.

Fani-Kayode recalled that the controversial prophet had in 2014 predicted that the Vice President in a “South African country” would be removed.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain also noted that the president of same nation will be overthrown and kidnapped.

In a tweet via his social media handle, the former Minister wrote: “In 2014 Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophecy about exactly what has happened in Zimbabwe today.

“He said that the VP in a “southern African country” would be removed and then there would be a coup and the President and First Lady of that country would be toppled and kidnapped.”

Recall that reports had it that Mugabe, was booted out of office through a bloodless military coup which brought to an end his 37-year iron grip on power.

His removal was sequel to Mugabe’s recent removal of his former Vice-President, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“Dear Pastor Adeboye, If you permit me, I will like to humbly seize this opportunity to raise some questions I consider valid. – Why did you say in a viral video, that even a mad person knows that you don’t drink alcohol in a church? – Although from a sentimental point of view, your premise might seem right, but is it really what the Bible teaches us?

“The book of Deuteronomy 14:22-26, when speaking about paying tithes, instructs us to take our tithe to the place the LORD has chosen, and if the place is too far, we are instructed to sell the portion of our tithe and use it to buy anything our heart desires, listing alcohol as one of the items that could be bought with our tithe. The King James Version says ‘strong drink’, the Holmans Bible says ‘beer’ while the new international version specifies ‘fermented drink’.

“All the above are forms of alcohol. – So if you say even a mad person knows that you don’t drink alcohol in church, are you suggesting that the modern day church is not the ‘place the LORD has chosen for tithe to be paid and for his name to be worshiped’ as described in the book of Deuteronomy, or are you implying that the Bible was written by lunatics, or are you perhaps doubting God’s sanity?

“Another issue I’ll be grateful if you can throw some light upon, is where our first pastors and Daddy GOs, the 12 disciples, collected tithes, or where they instructed the believers who took over the headship of the church from them, to collect tithe. – I humbly suggest, that you kindly address the above questions with biblical evidence, as against whipping up sentiment, or employing what many preachers use, and in my opinion, I consider; ’emotional tactics’.

2018 Budget: Buhari begs National Assembly to support his economic policies

​President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday called on the National Assembly to support his economic policies.

Buhari made the appeal in his speech at a joint session of the National Assembly, during the 2018 budget presentation.

The President noted that his administration was committed to reforming the country’s economy.
Buhari also warned against food smuggling, saying anyone caught will be dealt with.
He said, “Mr Senate President, I am asking you to continue to support our economic policies.
“We cannot afford to go back to the dark days of insecurity and vandalism, we must come together to address issues through dialogue.

“Despite the down-turn in crude oil, 1.2 trillion was expended on capital project through the 2017 budget. This is a clear demonstration of our commitment to our economic reforms.

“I’m delighted that Nigeria is among the top ten performing countries in the world. We are committed to ensuring ease of doing business in the country which are critical to creating jobs.

“We shall continue to develop our infrastructure all over the country. As a responsible administration, we are determined to clear the backlog of deficit created by the past administration.
“We will consolidate on existing economic policies and develop new ones especially in the area of Agriculture.

“Food security is an important aspect of this government; anyone involved in the smuggling of food is a threat to our national security and will be dealt with according. I will like to assure investors in the area of Agriculture that the issue of smuggling will be adequately handled.”

“Come To The Table’’ Trump Tells N/Korea

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday called for diplomacy in dealing with North Korea’s nuclear and missile programmes, urging Pyongyang to “come to the table” and saying “it makes sense for North Korea to do the right thing.”

Trump, abandoning the aggressive rhetoric he has often used in the past when speaking about the pariah state, also called on Russia and China to do more to help with North Korea, which he described as a “worldwide threat that requires worldwide action.”

“We call on every responsible nation, including China and Russia, to demand the North Korean regime end its nuclear weapons and missile programmes,” Trump told a joint press conference in Seoul alongside South Korean President Moon Jae In.

The US president said that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “is threatening millions and millions of lives so needlessly” by continuing to pursue nuclear weapons.

“I really believe it makes sense for North Korea to come to the table,” Trump said, noting that he sees “certain movement” towards that end on Pyongyang’s behalf.
“I think we’re making a lot of progress,” Trump added.
The president’s optimism represented a turnabout from his threats of “fire and fury,” which he directed toward Pyongyang in August.

On Tuesday, Trump described the US military’s “strength” in the region as a warning to North Korea to halt its nuclear ambitions, and he added, “We hope to God we never have to use [it].”

South Korea is a “long-standing ally of the US,” Trump said, and the relationship between the two countries is as “partners and friends who have fought side by side in a war.”
“We cannot allow North Korea to threaten all that we have built,” Trump said.
Moon announced that he and Trump had agreed to increase the payload for Seoul’s missile arsenal in the face of threats from Pyongyang, and he said Trump reaffirmed the US’s “iron-clad commitment to defend South Korea.”

“We agreed to work towards resolving the North Korean nuclear issue in a peaceful manner and bringing permanent peace to the Korean Peninsula,” he said.
While urging Pyongyang to halt its missile provocations, Moon also said that “we are willing to offer North Korea a bright future.”

Trump arrived in South Korea earlier Tuesday on the second stop of his five-country tour of Asia.
Trade also played a key part in Trump and Moon’s discussions, with the US president saying he hoped to “create lots of jobs in the United States, which is … one of the very important reasons I’m here.”
During his 24-hour stay in South Korea, Trump does not plan to visit the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates North and South Korea.
On Tuesday night, Trump and his wife, first lady Melania Trump, are due to attend a state dinner at the Blue House.

Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech to the Korean National Assembly on Wednesday morning, likely focused on the North Korea threat, and lay a wreath at Seoul National Cemetery before departing for Beijing.

On Monday, Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held talks in Tokyo and agreed to maximize pressure on North Korea in order to force the regime to abandon its nuclear and missile programmes.
Trump kicked off the longest diplomatic trip taken by any US president in decades, arriving in the US state of Hawaii on Friday, the first stop on a nearly two-week trip that will also take him to China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

President Buhari Proposes N8.6trn Budget For 2018

Nigeria’s Joint National Assembly has been presented with 2018 budget by President Buhari today. The Federal Government plans to spend about N8.6tn next year, a jump of about 15 per cent from the N7.44tn budgeted for the current year.

The figures were contained in the 2018-2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper, which Buhari had earlier sent to the National Assembly in compliance with the provisions of the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007.

Journalists Barred From Coverage at NASS as Buhari Presents 2018 Project Proposal

Journalists from some section of the media, mostly online and a few from some print and electronic media have been barred from covering the 2018 budget presentation by President Buhari at the National Assembly. The budget presentation billed to commence by 2p.m today Tuseday 7th November, 2017 saw some journalist denied entry into the National assembly premises.

Journalists from PREMIUM TIMES, who were among those barred said they were denied entry despite presenting their official and National Assembly identity cards to the security operative who rather told them point-blank that a circular was earlier circulated in that regard. He said names of some journalists from some media organisations were missing an “accreditation list” prepared by the Research and Information Directorate of the National Assembly. Other journalists who were barred were Goodness Adaoyiche of Pulse.ng among others.

Catalonia forms opposition govt. after Madrid’s takeover

Catalan leaders on Saturday rejected the official takeover announcement of Catalonia regional government by the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.

Carles Puigdemont, the leader of Catalonia, however, called for peaceful opposition to the Spanish government’s takeover.

Puigdemont in a statement refused to accept his firing ordered by central authorities in Madrid, who officially took over command of the north-eastern region.

“It’s very clear that the best form of defending the gains made until now is democratic opposition to article 155,” Puigdemont said.

Spain took formal direct control of Catalonia on Saturday, on paper firing the region’s defiant separatist government a day after lawmakers passed a declaration of independence for the prosperous north-eastern region.

The move came after one of the most tumultuous days in the country’s recent history, as the national parliament in Madrid approved unprecedented constitutional measures to halt the secessionist drive by the regional parliament in Barcelona.

Spain made the takeover official by publishing special measures online early Saturday in the country’s gazette.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, who now replaces Puigdemont as the top decision-maker in the north-eastern region, has also dissolved the regional parliament and called a new regional election to be held on Dec. 21.

Still, it was not clear at all whether a new election would solve Spain’s problems with separatists in Catalonia.

Polls suggest pro-independence parties would likely maintain their slim advantage in parliamentary seats but would not get more than 50 per cent of the vote.

“Spain is living through a sad day,” Rajoy said. “We believe it is urgent to listen to Catalan citizens, to all of them, so that they can decide their future and nobody can act outside the law on their behalf.”
Puigdemont and 12 other members of the Catalan Cabinet will no longer be paid and could face charges of usurping others’ functions if they refuse to obey.

There was no immediate sign that top Catalan officials will do so, or comply with the orders.
Beyond any possible resistance from top Catalan officials, it’s unclear how Rajoy’s government in Madrid will be able to exert its control at lower levels of Catalonia’s vast regional administration.
Catalonia had secured the ability to govern itself in many areas, including education, health and policing, since democracy returned to Spain following the death of dictator Gen. Francisco Franco in 1975.

Some among Catalonia’s roughly 200,000 civil servants have said they will refuse to obey orders from Madrid.

They risk being punished or even fired under the special powers granted to central authorities by the nation’s Senate on Friday.

Catalonia held its independence referendum Oct. 1 and declared independence more than three weeks later.
The U.S., France and Germany were among several countries who rejected the declaration.
