Halliburton: Fayose Makes Fresh Revelations; Challenges Buhari’s Wife to Travel To US to Prove Innocence

fayose 44
GOVERNOR Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has challenged Nigeria’s First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, to travel to the United States of America to prove her innocence in the Halliburton scam.

Fayose said this on Wednesday in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, insinuating that Hajia Buhari has been avoiding travelling to the US in order to evade arrest.

Fayose had on Monday said Hajia Buhari was the person indicted by a US Court for transferring $170,000 to indicted US Congressman, Williams Jefferson, in the Halliburton scandal.

Though several sources had said she was not the one, Fayose insisted that Hajia Buhari had more to reveal than she had agreed to.

He said that was why she had refused to travel with her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, on the three occasions he had visited the US since assuming power.

He also said rather than attend a conference to which she was invited, Hajia Buhari sent Toyin, the wife of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

Fayose said in the statement by Adelusi on Wednesday that if the President’s wife was certain she was not the one indicted in the Halliburton scandal, she should visit the United States of America to convince Nigerians.

He said: “It is on record that the President has visited USA three times and his wife did not travel with him. Equally, she ought to have visited USA last year September to chair a United Nations programme but she sent wife of the Senate President, Mrs Toyin Saraki to represent her.”

Military Scheming to Overthrow Buhari – Niger Delta Militants

Buhari 11
A consolidated group of militants, Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF), yesterday, claimed that some senior military officers were scheming to overthrow the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari through a coup d’état.

The militant group, which was behind threats of missile launch that created panic in the Niger Delta region, said persons behind the coup plot, were planning to instigate civil unrest as part of their strategies to actualise the scheme.

The group in an electronic statement said already the top military officers involved in the scheme approached its leaders with an appeal to continue with the ongoing attacks on oil installation.

It claimed that the “coup plotters” said they wanted to use sustained attacks on oil facilities as a genuine reason to take over the government.

The statement was signed by persons who identified themselves as ‘General’ Torunanaowei Latei (Creek Network Coordinator); ‘General’ Agbakakuro Owei-Tauro (Pipeline Bleeding Expert); ‘General’ Akotebe Darikoro (Commander, General Duties) and ‘General’ Pulokiri Ebikade (Intelligence Bureau).

The group said: “We are constraint to let the cat out of the bag today that PresidentMohammadu Buhari should be wary about the security of this country as some military men are making move to remove him from power by instigating civil unrest in the country.

“Some top military men through their civil agents approached us to cause and continue the vandalization of the oil and gas pipelines in the Niger delta region so as to use as an excuse to take over the government from democracy to military rule in the country.

“We said no as such plan will not work and not in conformity with our genuine desire of agitation. The military want to disgrace him now and let him quickly look into the issues and make pronouncement for his administration to be in peace.

“Let president should analyze certain memo from the military concerning Niger delta region before taking action or otherwise the military will use that as a platform to remove him. We know the issue of Niger delta is political and we preferred political solution to resolve it but if the president refused”.

The group further advised the President to adopt holistic approach in resolving the problems of the Niger Delta.

It named the ongoing corruption probes in the military as one of the reasons why like minds had gathered to plot the removal of the President adding that most officers behind the scheme were above the ranks of major-generals.

“We received several calls unknown to persuade us to continue the bombing and that when succeeded in overthrowing the government we will be placed on a better position, we said capital NO!

“When asked of their names they are above Major General’s level. They refused to disclose their names but their intonations seem like yoruba and Hausa. Our agitation is not for selfish interest but for the overall benefit of the Niger delta region.

“We’ll not kidnap any person, kill or hostage taking of any expatriate in the country but will continue our agitation with clear determination to actualize our course in Nigeria.

“We believe their sinister plan because their is ceasefire in the region for dialogue, but since then the attitude and actions of the service chiefs show that such plan could work for them”, it said.

The group also accused the military of invading Ijaw communities in the Niger Delta, harassing, chiefs and women during the period of ceasefire.

It asked the President to quickly implement their demands which it listed as immediate release of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) and Dr. Nnamdi Kanu.

Others are directing the EFCC to defreeze the bank accounts of ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a. Tompolo; resuming the academic sessions of the only Nigerian Maritime University sited in Okerenkoko and immediate implementation of the report of the 2014 National Conference report.

They asked the President to clean up all the oil-polluted land in the region and to remove Brigadier General Paul Boroh (rtd.) as an Amnesty Coordinator.

According to them Boroh should be re-placing with Dr. Felix Tuodolo who it said had been in the struggle of non-violence since 1980 and the designer.

It said: “Why all these attacks on oil and gas pipelines in the region is that the Pharaoh of Nigeria (Buhari) made a childish statement that, he will develop those areas that gave him 95% votes during his presidential election last year.

“We the Niger Delta people only gave him 5% hence we vowed that our oil money will not be used for the development of any other region. The President should change his mind set towards the region, if not this will continue”.

Release Nnamdi Kanu To End the Problem in Nigeria – Jerry Gana

jerry-gana
Jerry Gana who attended the 17th anniversary of Igbo Youth Movement, last week; called on Muhammadu Buhari to release the leader of indigenous people of Biafra who has done nothing but called for the restoration of Biafra. Gana argued that Nnamdi Kanu has right to call for self-determination and believing that his arrest was uncalled for, a mistake that must be corrected. He was more concerned about the circumstance that led to Nnamdi Kau’s agitation than the agitation itself.

However, he stated that Nnamdi Kanu is only responding to Nigerian as a failed state that worsened under Buhari. Nnamdi Kanu is the spark plug for Biafra restoration and arresting him was stoking the flame of Biafra that has left Nigeria bleeding since last year. He argued that had true federalism been implemented, Nnamdi Kanu’s agitation would not gain the 100% backing and support it has today.

“Release Nnamdi Kanu and restructure Nigeria which is the only solution” he said while responding to questions. He was filled with smile and expressed satisfaction that despite being in prison, Nnamdi still command respect. He was one of those that clapped and smiled when Nnamdi Kanu’s award was announced.

Since Nnamdi Kanu was arrested, there have been uneasy calm in old eastern region that is Biafra. Youths, fathers and mothers came out on the street with placards which often destabilizes economic activities due to the mammoth crowd that troops out in solidarity. The federal government of Nigeria has shown cluelessness in handling the situation which has only worsened or heated the polity.

Buhari resorted to use of maximum force against unarmed and peaceful Biafrans that are only taking advantage of the tenet of democracy. Nigerian forces under the command of Buhari have brutally shot to kill Biafra agitators. Shooting unarmed Biafrans was the solution Buhari can offer and the decision only worsened the situation as agitators get motivated instead of retreating. “We have lost lives and continue losing; we won’t retreat because of that” Buhari has come under intense criticism but have not shown any sign of repenting, hundreds of Biafrans have been killed and instead of deterring others, it has only motivated and fueled the agitation. Gana faulted Buhari’s approach and cautioned that Killing agitating youths will never solve any problem. “Had we embraced true federalism, all these won’t be happening. The youths agitating are doing what should be done to save this country” he said.

Notable figures have called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and many are still calling for his release, militants have also sworn to narrow down oil production to zero, an effort on course. Gana is of the view that only releasing Nnamdi Kanu will bring an end to the many problems Nigeria is facing. “Release Nnamdi Kanu and all these problems will be over, very simple”

Buhari has refused to listen to voices and voice of reason urging him to shelve issues that will likely result to military actions. He is of the view that he would crush everything that opposes him as he has promised that he would kill more Biafrans to keep Nigeria one. He has also threatened to drown everybody instead of allow Biafra. “We don’t want death, we will disappoint Buhari, and we want peace and true federalism” he concluded.

Buhari’s Aide Arrested With $1.5 Million Dollars Cash

A top appointee of President Muhammadu Buhari has been arrested by the Department of State Service (DSS).

The individual arrested is a member of the Presidential Investigative Committee on Arms Procurement.
Apparently, Air Commodore Umar Muhammed (rtd), was investigating arms procurement for which he too partook in.

A dependable source within DSS stated that Muhammed was fronting for some high ranking officials within the EFCC and security agencies.

To put this in perspective, Muhammad is investigating a criminal offence for which EFCC, who is also part of the investigation are party to.

DSS operatives stormed Muhammad’s house on Sunday located at No. 4 Lundi Close Off Mississipi Street in Maitama, Abuja.

After a five-hour search, the operatives found and seized the sum of $1.5 million dollars in cash and various high-end cars.

According to the source, “The DSS cordoned off his house in Maitama, where he is believed to be having meeting at the time they swooped on the residence.

“They searched his house at about 5p.m. on Sunday and did not leave until about 10p.m. where they found so much incriminating evidence.

“After the search at his Maitama residence, the sum of $1.5 million cash was discovered and
about 18 luxury cars were taken away including Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Buggatti and many others.”
Muhammed is still being detained and interrogated by men of the DSS in Abuja.

Muhammed is one of the 13 members of the Presidential Arms Procurement Investigative Panel established by President Buhari last year.

Other members of the panel includes Air Vice Marshal J.O.N. Ode (rtd.); Rear Admiral J.A. Aikhomu (rtd); Rear Admiral E. Ogbor (rtd.); Brig Gen L. Adekagun (rtd.); Brig Gen M. Aminu-Kano (rtd.);
Other include Brig Gen N. Rimtip (rtd.); Commodore T.D. Ikoli; Air Commodore U. Mohammed (rtd.); Air Commodore I. Shafi’I; Col A.A. Ariyibi; Group Capt C.A. Oriaku; Mr. Ibrahim Magu (EFCC); and Brig Gen Y.I. Shalangwa – Secretary.

Armsgate: Reprisal? EFCC Set To Invite Fayose’s Wife.

FB_IMG_14614415209292292
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to invite Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, for receiving N100m through an account which is operated by her and her husband. According to the EFCC, the money, which emanated from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser, was paid into the Zenith Bank account of Spotless Investment Limited on June 17, 2014, less than a week to the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The money was paid into the company’s account with bank teller number 0540997 by Abiodun Agbele, an associate of the governor. The two signatories to Spotless Investment Limited’s account are Fayose and his wife. An EFCC detective told one of our correspondents, “N100m was paid into the Spotless Investment Limited account with number 1010170969 at Zenith Bank.

The two signatories are Fayose, with Bank Verification Number 22338867502, and his wife, Helen Olayemi, with BVN 22298990256.” The account has since been frozen by the anti- graft agency. As a sitting governor, Fayose cannot be prosecuted or arrested because he enjoys immunity. “His wife, however, has no immunity,” the source added. The PUNCH had reported on Wednesday that N1,219,490,000 was flown to Akure Airport on June 12, 2014, by a former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, ahead of the June 21, 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The money was said to have been part of the N4.7bn, which was paid into the Diamond Bank account of Sylvan McNamara by the Office of the National Security Adviser. Sylvan McNamara is a company in which Obanikoro’s sons are signatories.

A large chunk of the N1,219,490,000 was said to have been paid into Fayose’s private and company accounts, including the N100m, which was paid into the account of Spotless Investment Limited.
PDP, APC bicker over anti-corruption fight Meanwhile, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday described the freezing of the personal accounts of Fayose as politically motivated. The party said it had observed with dismay the dangerous trend of “politically-motivated trials and tyrannical administration” of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress.

The PDP demanded that the ruling party must stop the witch-hunt in the interest of peace and stability of our nation. This was contained in a statement by the Publicity Committee of the PDP Caretaker Committee, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye. The party described the freezing of Fayose’s personal account as unlawful, undemocratic, autocratic, oppressive, draconian and the height of desperation by the Buhari administration to cover up for its failure to deliver on his campaign promises to Nigerians.

Adeyeye stated, “This government is all out to silence any voice of the opposition. Nigerians will recall that Chief Olisa Metuh, the former National Publicity Secretary of our great party, is today standing trial for receiving campaign funds and since his arrest and prosecution by the anti-graft agency, Chief Metuh could not challenge the APC government on policy issues until he left office.

“Nigerians will also recall that one of the known opposition voices, apart from some individuals and governors of our party, who has exposed the APC- led administration for running the country aground in the last one year, is the former spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode; and he is now standing trial for receiving campaign funds from the Director of Finance of the Campaign.

“ It’s now the turn of the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who has been consistent in condemning the woes the APC government brought upon Nigerians and for remaining critical of the APC and President Buhari’s administration.” The party condemned the freezing of Fayose’s personal account and asked the EFCC to unfreeze the bank account immediately, saying the action violated Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution, as a sitting governor could not stand trial until after office.

In its reaction, the APC said the opposition PDP did not have the right to dictate how the Buhari-led administration should fight corruption. APC said this in a statement by its National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, in Abuja, on Wednesday. The party said this in its reaction to the declaration by the PDP National Assembly caucus that it had withdrawn its support for the Buhari administration following what it called the persecution of its members. Buni said, “For the umpteenth time, the PDP and their agents do not have the luxury of dictating how the current administration and the anti- corruption agencies carry out their legitimate duties of investigating and prosecuting cases of corruption as long as they conform to the rule of law.

“The PDP Caucus must be reminded of their primary responsibility of law-making and representation of their constituents at the National Assembly.” The ruling party advised the PDP Senate Caucus not to allow “political shenanigans” to becloud the overall national interest. It said the caucus’ allegations of a selective anti- corruption fight and “belligerent” stance of the current administration was hogwash and baseless.

How my campaign was funded –Fayose Also, on Wednesday, Fayose explained that his 2014 governorship election campaign was funded by the Zenith Bank, fundraising, donations from friends and associates as well as sales of campaign souvenirs. The governor was reacting to media reports that the EFCC traced N4.7bn from the ONSA to his account and the company account of the two sons of Obanikoro.

Fayose in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, challenged the EFCC to publish statements made by Obanikoro, his sons or any other person associated with money from the NSA’s office, where they claimed they gave him money for the election. He stated, “I have no financial transaction whatsoever with the Office of the National Security Adviser under Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), and former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, either by cash, cheque or electronic transfer.
“The EFCC is only acting a movie scripted, produced and directed by the All Progressives Congress government of President Muhammadu Buhari just to silence me, being a major opposition voice in the country.” Narrating how he came about the money found in his Zenith Bank account, the governor said,
“The management of Zenith Bank, which majorly funded my election, called me to a meeting, where I was asked to nominate a trusted ally to be related with and I nominated Mr. Abiodun Agbele. “All the payments into Abiodun Agbele’s account domiciled in Zenith Bank were directly from Zenith Bank.

“Most of the funds posted into Agbele’s account were through the Ibadan, Akure and Lagos branches of the Zenith Bank and sometimes; they brought cash. “Assuming but not conceding, that cash moved from Lagos to Akure as being claimed by the EFCC in its usual manner of media trial, was meant for my election in Ekiti, why was the cash not moved to Ado Ekiti branch of Zenith Bank or the cash handed to me directly?

“I wish to state further that if it becomes evidently clear that those who willingly provided money for my election can no longer stand by what they did, maybe because of threat from the EFCC, I will not hesitate to name names.”

The governor called on the EFCC to beam its searchlights on the funding of the APC elections, especially that of the President. Fayose added, “Since we are now in the era in which financial assistance from Nigerians to fund elections is being criminalised, the international community, especially those funding EFCC, must insist that the commission probe the funding of APC elections before further funds are released to the commission.

“Most importantly, Nigerians are interested in the $60m allegedly donated to the APC campaign by Sahara Energy, on which the EFCC has been forced to suspend investigation.”

I Won’t Tolerate You “Nnamdi KANU”. Buhari Spits Fire!!!

It’s really getting clearer and more straight up that the embattled leader of indigenous People Of Biafra may be in for another showdown as Mr President personally made this remark on
Tuesday night at the breaking of fast dinner for members of the Federal Executive Council,
As he is ready to deal with any one or group canvassing for balkanization of the entity called Nigeria accordingly.

When he referred to “someone unborn during the war” we all knew whom he was referring to,
President Muhammadu Buhari has warned those agitating for the Republic of Biafra as well as Niger Delta militants who are destroying oil installations in the region.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja
Tuesday night at the breaking of fast dinner for members of the Federal Executive Council, Buhari asked Biafra agitators and the militants to reflect “very seriously” on the Civil War of 1967-1970 “where about two million Nigerians lost their lives.”
He said: “And at that time, as young military officers, you hardly heard of anything about petroleum or whatever money you got from it. Look at what Gen. Gowon said `To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done’ and every soldier whether he has been to school or not knew what the general meant.
“But we were quarrelling with our brothers, we were not fighting an enemy and then somebody is saying that once again, he wants Biafra. I think this is because he was not born when there was Biafra. We have to reflect on the historical antecedents to appreciate what is before us now and what we intend to leave for our children and our grand children.”

President Buhari also said that “Leading the people is not a joke. It means accepting responsibilities for good or wrong.”

The president also stated that Nigeria needed a lot of prayers in view of the current economic and security challenge.

“We need a lot of prayers. Certainly, with the nation’s economy going down. We haven’t developed the agriculture, we’re still trying to talk on those who’ll come and develop the solid mineral for us,” he said. Buhari said Ramadan provides leaders the opportunity to be more conscious of their responsibilities to the citizens.

“It strengthens our resolve to build our country to make it stronger and to make sure that the incoming generations are sufficiently motivated to be patriotic. It’s no news that we are the biggest country in Africa, we’re the economy engine of Africa, which are true by the way. But, we must always be patriotic in our dealings with others.

“This month of prayers and service to God, let’s keep on these prayers all the times, believing that God in His infinite mercy will listen to our prayers, give us peace, security and better the economy once more so that we can quickly rebuild and even do more for the country.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who spoke on behalf of the cabinet members, thanked Buhari for inviting them for the breaking of fast dinner

IHEJIRIKA’S ARREST : A PLOT TO CLAMPDOWN ON EASTERN MILITARY OFFICERS

IHEJIRIKA’S ARREST : A PLOT TO CLAMPDOWN ON EASTERN MILITARY OFFICERS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly picked former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant-General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd).

The former army chief was reportedly arrested last night, June 21 at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.
His arrest might not be unconnected with misappropriation of the arms funds under former national security adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

Recall that an Australian Negotiator, Dr Stephen Davis had disclosed that former governor of Borno State, Modu Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, General Onyeabo Azubuike Ihejirika were Boko Haram sponsors.
The secret police is yet to confirm this development.
Meanwhile, analysts has it that there is a plot to clampdown and also to decimate the military officers from the old eastern Nigeria who have been major victims of sack in the country’s military institution.
