On Tuesday January, 19 the IMN students staged a protest pressing for the unconditional release of Sheikh Zakzaky.
The well attended protest which lasted for over an hour has attracted protesters from different tertiary institutions around Nigeria comprising students, lecturers and other movers and shakers of the academia.
Shiites protest the continued detention of their leader.
ABNA reports that the protesters holding placards inscribed ‘Free Zakzaky Now’, ‘We demand the unconditional release of our leader’ and banners carrying the pictures, names, institutions and course of study of students killed by the Nigerian military in Zaria.

Mr Muhammad Bello Anyingba, a lecturer at Kogi state University, told journalists shortly after the protest that the purpose of the march was to demand the absolute release of Sheikh Zakzaky.
He further called on the Nigerian government to get the corpses of those killed for proper Islamic burial and free those in various military detention facilities.
In reply to allegations about the video clip aired by military, he said the video was edited to justify their inhumane acts.
“American President Barack Obama was stoned somewhere and nobody was killed. Former Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was pelted in Bauchi while canvassing for votes but nobody was killed,” the lecturer buttressed.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the Academic forum of the Islamic movement in Nigeria (AFIMN), Shu’aibu Isah Ahmad called on the Nigerian authorities to accept the atrocities in Zaria and compensate the families of those affected.

“We call on the government to summon courage and live up to its morality and accept its crime by paying compensation to all affected families and relations” the statement said.

The head of the commission, Prof Ben Agwe has promised to probe the Zaria massacre, inviting some members of movement on Wednesday, January 20 for an official address of the memorandum filed in last week.

Buhari: Father Mbaka Receives The Lashing Of His Life

Buhari: Father Mbaka Receives The Lashing Of His LifeMbaka

Kaduna-based Prophet and General Overseer of Christ’s Vision Ministries, Revd Samuel Taiwo Deji, has told the Enugu-based Catholic Priest, Revd Father Ejike Mbaka to withdraw his prophecy that some people are plotting to kill President Muhammadu Buhari.

Revd Father Mbaka of Adoration Ministries, Enugu, had on New Year day,  January 1,  2016, predicted that some Nigerians were plotting to kill the President.

However, Speaking with Daily Sun yesterday,  Prophet Deji said Father Mbaka’s prediction was more of a demonic message than a divine one from God.

Revd Deji, 63, who is a professor of theology in Christian Education, said he decided to write off Father Mbaka because God had told him ( Deji ) that there would be no bloodshed in the corridors of power in 2016.

According to the Ekiti State- born man of God: “Buhari should go and sleep,  not only sleep, but snore, because Father Mbaka is passing a message that is demonic and not of God.

“Father Mbaka was in a hurry,  he did not wait for God’s message for President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I see this type of message as too political, far from God’s words for our President. In fact, many youths will be comfortable this year. But I equally see famine hitting this country this year. So, people should be wise how they manage their food this year.

Mbaka’s Prophecy Is Demonic– Cleric

The shocking prophecy of Rev Father Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministries is still sparkling reactions among common people and Men of God.
According to Mbaka’s prophecy, some people are plotting to kill President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kaduna-based prophet and general overseer of Christ’s Vision Ministries, Rev Samuel Taiwo Deji, has called on the Catholic priest to withdraw his prophecy that some people are plotting to kill President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking with Daily Sun on Wednesday, January 20, Prophet Deji, who is also a professor of theology in Christian Education, noted that Father Mbaka’s prediction was a demonic message rather than a divine one.

A 63-year-old cleric said that he decided to write off Father Mbaka because God had told him that there would be no bloodshed in the corridors of power in 2016.

“Buhari should go and sleep, not only sleep, but snore, because Father Mbaka is passing a message that is demonic and not of God.

“Father Mbaka was in a hurry, he did not wait for God’s message for President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I see this type of message as too political, far from God’s words for our president. In fact, many youths will be comfortable this year. But I equally see famine hitting this country this year. So, people should be wise how they manage their food this year,” he said.

Reacting to Mbaka’s prophecy, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria described it as “sensationalism”, “rumour peddling” and “delusional fantasy”. The group called on the Nigerian Catholic hierarchy to sanction the cleric over his shifting from sacred vocation to political games.

Meanwhile, Adoration Ministries in Enugu state supported its spiritual leader and urged security agents to see as prime suspects those who criticize the recent prophecy of Father Mbaka.

Buratai orders all army officers to declare assests

Buratai orders all army officers to declare assests

Abuja – The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has directed all officers of the Nigerian Army who have not declared their assets to do so immediately.
According to a statement issued last night by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, the Army Chief gave the directive during a conference with Principal Staff Officers and Directors serving at the Army Headquarters.

“It is to be noted that the Chief of Army Staff has done so, soon on his appointment as Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force in May 2015 and also on his appointment as Chief of Army Staff in July 2015. Copies of both are with the Code of Conduct Bureau” Usman said.

“This directive is in order, considering the fact that all military officers are having Presidential Commission and are public servants, as well as subject to both civil and military laws.

“In addition, given the current drive of the country for probity and accountability, the Nigerian Army should not only key in but should be one of the key drivers for such laudable project” the statement added.

Congrats! How do you feel being called to the bar today?
I am grateful to God, my family and friends who have been of help to me. I am humbled and privileged to have succeeded. Thus, I am very happy.
How does it feel being the first daughter of Prophet T.B Joshua?
I am privileged and fortunate to be the daughter of such a humble and great man of God called TB Joshua. He is someone I look up to because my father is a man of God and he has been able to guide me every time I need him. I am too happy, so humble to be his daughter. He has been a good guide.

Thus I can’t afford to disappoint him and God because to whom much is given, much is expected. And I love him.

How will you describe him, is he a good father?
He is a true example of humility. I have seen so many attributes in him that is worthy to emulate. He is the best father everybody can pray to have. I am not just saying that because he is my father but because it’s the truth. Also, it’s not what I think about him or what people think about him that count but what God says about him.
Some people do not understand him. They even have wrong impression about him, what’s your take on that?
That’s why I said he is a true man of God and it’s not what people say that count but what God says. Everybody has the right to air his opinion but God’s opinion counts most.
What’s his reaction to your success story?
He was very happy and proud of me. I am always happy whenever he is proud of me. He has given me so much and I feel I have a lot to offer and can’t disappoint him.
