The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, on Monday dismissed claims that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was sponsoring the ongoing pro-Biafra protests across many Nigerian cities.

In a press statement by Comrade Samuel Edeson, the National Director of Information, MASSOB, he described the claims as “a complete expression of a politically confused and drowning persons,” stressing that “MASSOB is not the cause of Abia PDP led political misfortunes”.

He stated that “We have been protesting against the oppressors of Ndigbo even before the current state administration.

“Governor Ikpeazu and his PDP in Abia should focus on how to redeem their image, which has been battered and drastically lost.

“Our demonstration and protests are against the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu by Nigerian government; it’s not against state government or any individual.”

Edeson further maintained that “Nobody or group in Biafraland can use MASSOB against anybody in Igboland; MASSOB under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu is the unifying factor of total libration and political stability of Ndigbo in Nigeria.

“We advise Biafrans at home and in the Diaspora to disregard some disgruntled persons that are claiming to be leaders of MASSOB”

BIAFRA STRUGGLE IGNITES AS ASARI DOKUBO PLANS AHEAD

The leader of the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo, and Dr. Fredrick Fasheun, the founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress, are expected to be in Owerri, Imo state, for the prayer session ahead of the scheduled Biafra election.

Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of the Biafra group, Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) had earlier announced that elections in the projected independent Biafra state would be held on February 22.

Uwazuruike was the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State Of Biafra before he was ousted accused of disloyalty. He went on to form BIM and plans have been made to conduct elections in the region. This has been followed by the appointment of Rev. Fr. Samuel Aniebonam as the chairman of the Biafra Independent National Electoral Commission.

The Sun reports that Uwazuruike announced that an inter-denominational prayer session would be held at the Ojukwu memorial library on Tuesday, January 12.
He said religious clerics from the south south and south east region are expected to be in Owerri for the three day fasting and prayer session. He said it was organized to ask for God’s support for a successful election.
He announced that Apostle Gregory Ashiegbu would anchor the theme of the prayer titled: “Give us Biafra”
Uwazuruike explained that the election would be different from Nigeria’s own and would be an open ballot system unlike Nigeria’s closed ballot system. He said that all elections into offices will have been completed by May 22.

Meanwhile, Uwazuruikeclaimed that some expelled members of MASSOB are collecting money from politicians.

Killing Boko Haram Is No Sin – Lt Col Cosmas Nwankp

The chaplain of Maimalari cantonment, Lt Col Cosmas Nwankpa has said that the Killing of a member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect on a battleground is not a sin against God.

The Catholic Reverend Father, while delivering a sermon with the theme: “Our Fallen Heroes” at an inter-denominational service in Maiduguri to mark this year’s armed forces remembrance day, said the instruction in one of the ten commandment that ‘thou shall not kill,’ is excused in warfare and no

Christian should feel he has broken the Lord’s commandment when he is called upon to kill at warfront.

Nwankpa said: “The commandment ‘thou shall not kill’ does not apply to Boko Haram, your conscience should not prick you when you kill them, it is even a sin to spare them and allow them to perpetuate doom on the people and the nation.”

He referred to soldiering as the noblest of all professions, asking, “what is nobler than dying or laying down ones life for a country?.”

Nwankpa also spoke on why the wife of a soldier or widow of a dead soldier should feel proud. He said: “It is nobler to associate with a noble man,” insisting that “the families of soldiers are nobler than them (the soldiers).”

He argued that it does not matter when we die but for what we die for, noting that “our heroes have given their lives so that our nation remains undivided.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai has said that the war against Boko Haram in the northeast has been won. Following the declaration, the chief of army staff has urged his men to ensure that the hard earned victory is sustained.

ELECTION RE-RUN IS NOW IMPOSSIBLE IN 2015 ABIA GUBERNATORIAL RACE

There is a difference between seeking to “STRIKE OUT” a case that has documented evidence and asking for “A RE-RUN” at the tribunal and later appeal court/supreme court.

*** PDP and Ikpeazu Lawyer, Olanipekun SAN sought for a documented evidence to be struck out by Bwalya Tribunal in Umuahia which PDP hailed as sound judgement.

*** However, when Appeal Court judges called Olanipekun up to argue his case, he told them that election and re-run elections took place simultaneously in Abia State and OBINGWA, OSISIOMA and ISIALANGWA LGAs on April 11th and 25th respectively in which, according to him, Okezie/PDP won.

when Olujinmi SAN (APGA) told the judges that what took place in Abia were the gubernatorial general election and SUPPLEMENTARY election. Then Olanipekun was stunned and wanted to reverse his statement, forgetting how he openly told the Umuahia tribunal that it is not permissible in law for an opponent to be allowed to present further evidence after adopting same and cannot use opponents time to present anything when the other party had opened their case.

herefore, Olanipekun’s documents made it clear that a re-run election already took place in which the winner was produced. We all can see that the appeal court simply did a simple mathematics after listening to arguments of both SANs by deducting invalid votes from the 3 LGAs and declared the winner based on valid votes.

NNAMDI KANU: IMMINENT VICTORY AND DISUNITY IN THE IPOB CAMP

Abinito, it has been observed that the worst types of strife or crisis are the ones that happen or occur within a group or organization (intra). This is so because humans are naturally enmeshed or consumed by hate – and the desire to always dominate or out shine others. It even assumes a more sensitive dimension or monumental proportion when internal struggles are in pursuit of a goal such as being in charge of leading a large group of people – who are naturally powerful, prudent and exceedingly skillful. Stay with me.

Some months ago, the Nigerian government under the authority of General Muhammadu Buhari (Dr), wanted to test our resolve and resilience. This he did or perfected by incarcerating or abducting our supreme leader, Nnamdi Kanu (Nwa Chukwu Okike Abiama). As expected and in the most dramatic fashion, his followers, in Nigeria and all over the world protested (and still protesting) in a manner quite unprecedented and unknown to man. The protests so far have been adjudged by international community as the most coordinated and sophisticated in the history of man, perhaps owing to the fact that its happening quite simultaneously around the world. The threatening numbers who have so far engaged in these protests has made it even very real and intimidating. So far, I can authoritatively say that these protests have had tremendous impacts, and the world is watching and listening.

Director, before his arrest, instituted the best brains who have been assisting in the preaching or proliferation of the gospel of the restoration of the kingdom of Biafra. These individuals who are seasoned and have distinguished themselves in different fields of endeavour, so far haven’t failed in the discharge of their duties. They deserve accolades and encomiums. The success of these protests so far is linked to their sheer ingenuity, perseverance, wealth of knowledge and doggedness. I appreciate them.

In times like this, closing ranks and consolidating on feats and successes recorded/achieved vis-à-vis the emancipation of the Indigenous People of Biafra from the clutches of the Hausa/Fulani is a task expected of our leaders. Rancour, bitterness, disloyalty and treachery are traits we should drop in the cesspit if we want to win this battle. Treachery of any degree by individuals or groups – within the fold is the least we need at the moment.

Of a truth, disloyalty and insubordination are traits that should not be taken lightly in an organisation because it is undeserving and counter-productive. But there is always room for compromise if the need arises. The suspension of Mazi Uchenna Asiegbu, Barrister Emma Mmezu, Clifford Iroanya, Ikenna Nwanonenyi, all continental representatives etc is a good decision but technically faulty. I am not advocating for unprofessionalism and the likes, however, we need to soft-pedal on some issues if we perceive they will come in between us and our main goal – which is the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the restoration of Biafra by extension. The worst thing we can do to/for ourselves right now is to be divided. We need to come together no matter the case. We cannot afford to shoot ourselves on the foot even with the best of intentions and no matter the guise.

Therefore, Deputy Director Sir, please don’t get too exasperated. Loosen up a little and tamper justice with mercy. Please, you have to rescind your decision (suspension). We understand you have good intentions but being united at the moment transcends every other reason or interest. Our people say, ‘’Igwe bu ike’’ interpreted in English as ‘’Unity is strength’’. These protests must continue, and it is only you who holds the key.

God bless the Republic of Biafra.

We Have Declared Ambode Enemy of Ndigbo” – Ohanaeze

igbo

The apex socio-Igbo cultural organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has declared Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode as number one enemy of Ndigbo.

The development is sequel to the demolition of Oshodi market, which is believed to be largely occupied by Ndigbo on the first week of the New Year.

Speaking at a press briefing in Enugu on Monday, the national President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, alongside the National Secretary, Okwu Nnabuike said Ambode by his actions had drawn a battle line between himself and the entire Igbo land.

While describing the demolition as “an action done in bad faith”, the group wondered why the Lagos State Government should carry out such act at a time when it clearly knew that the owners of the shops were in their villages for the Christmas and the New Year festivities.

He said, “it is instructive to observe here that contrary to all principles of common justice, the traders were merely given few days quit notice. It is equally shocking that the government chose such a wrong time for the demolition exercise, thereby not only taking the shops from them but making sure that their wares were looted.

“We are forced to ask: could this be the starting point in implementing Oba of Lagos’s earlier threat during the election period that Ndigbo would be thrown into the Lagoon? Could it be another round of deportation of exercise, similar to what former governor Fashola did? These appear to be so considering that a witch cried in the night and a child died in the morning.”

While maintaining that the Lagos State Government’s action was a threat to the unity of the country, he demanded for adequate compensation of the traders who had suffered great losses as a result of the demolition.

He stressed that “it is quite inhuman for people’s means of livelihood to be taken away from them in such a manner. The government’s claim that arms were recovered from a section of the market does not fly at all here because it cannot be a reason for such a wicked treatment purely targeted on a particular people.
“We demand that the Governor of Lagos State should direct relevant government agencies to adequately compensate these traders; anything short of that, Ndigbo will henceforth regard the Governor as their number one arch-enemy.”
