APC To Commence 3-Days Fast in Osun state

In a statement by Famodun, the 3-day fasting and praying session will commence tomorrow, January 6 to Friday January 8, 2016. The prayers will be geared towards seeking divine intervention “so that our last year losses may be restored.”

He also asked that the state residents pray for God’s favour so that 2016 will reverse the unpleasant fortunes of last year, and bring prosperity and blessings instead.

Just days ago, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state inaugurated a nine-member governing board to oversee the running policy of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH) in Osogbo and create a miracle centre where those expected to die would live.

“All Hell will Break Loose” if Nnamdi Kanu Dies in Detention, Nig Ex-Minister Warns Buhari

A former Nigerian minister has warned President Muhammadu Buhari that “all hell will break loose” if the three prominent prisoners currently being detained by the state are harmed in any way, Nigerian newspaper Premium Times reported.

Femi Fani-Kayode, who served as minister of culture and tourism and then minister of aviation under former president Olusegun Obasanjo, posted messages about the detention of Nigeria’s former national security advisor Sambo Dasuki, pro-Biafran activist Nnamdi Kanu and Shiite cleric Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Dasuki is facing trial for allegedly stealing $2 billion of government funds earmarked for arms to be used in fighting the militant group Boko Haram. He was re-arrested on Wednesday by the Department of State Services (DSS, also known as the State Security Service or SSS) despite being granted bail by three different courts, according to Premium Times.

In October, the DSS arrested Kanu, who leads the secessionist group Indigenous Peoples of Biafra and runs London-based Radio Biafra, on charges including ethnic incitement and treason. Kanu was granted bail on December 17, but Mohammed Bello Adoke, the Nigerian attorney general and minister of justice, filed fresh charges against the activist on December 18 and he remains in custody.

The Nigerian military detained Sheikh Zakzaky, leader of the mainly Shiite Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), during clashes between Shiites and soldiers in the northern city of Zaria that lasted from December 12-14, 2015. Human Rights Watch reported that at least 300 IMN members were killed in the clashes.

Fani-Kayode, who was a member of Buhari’s All Progressive Congress between February 2014 and June 2014 before returning to the Peoples Democratic Party, posted the messages on Twitter on Saturday:
“Buhari is not God and we will not worship him”-Olisa Metuh. Woe to those who worship men and who bow before Baal, the Lord of the Flies.

Buhari Is An Agent Of Destabilization – Tinubu

A statement made by the leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu back in 2003 about the presidential candidate of the party, General Muhammadu Buhari has resurfaced.

In a document released by Wikileaks, Tinubu was against Buhari becoming the president of Nigeria because he believed the former Head of State and his irks were agents of destabilization and electing Buhari will spread Sharia to all parts of Nigeria.Read the Wikileaks document below:

SENATOR ENYINNAYA ABARIBE AIDED THE TRANSFER OF THE ALLEGED GUNS STOCKPILED IN HON. UBANI’S HOUSE TO PORT HARCOURT BEFORE DSS ARRIVAL

Sir, Thank you for publishing the information I gave to you concerning the weapon stockpiled in the House of Commissioner Eziuche Ubani but the police officers and army went there very late. I specified in the message that they should go before 11 PM but when their agents read the news, they ordered that we should relocate the guns to another location; Bus came and carried the guns by 9 pm immediatelyEziuche Ubani rushed home after getting information. The guns were immediately loaded in a Bus and drove to Abia Palm plantation in Ohambele, Ukwa-East. They just packed the bus there with the driver until about 5 am when Senator Abaribe sent someone and ask Ejike the driver of the bus and 2 security men to take the bus to Port Harcourt around that 5-5:30am. Probably somebody gave them information that police will raid the commissioner Ubani House because Commissioner Ubani has to rush home with unusual speed. So they have already ordered the guns out before police arrival and now transferred to Port Harcourt but I do not know the address in Port Harcourt but the driver’s name that drove the bus to Port Harcourt is called Ejike and with 2 security men, one of the security men is called Iron, As I am talking to you now Ejike has not returned from Port Harcourt. You will remember that I also told you people that Senator Abaribe (Otu Onu) promised to support our guys with 200 Million for them to claim as IPO Biafra member and continue with the protesting in the name of Biafra. I have told my guys that United Nation and Director Nnamdi will not be happy if we should spoil the name of IPO Biafra because of money but they insisted that they must continue. I just want to inform you again that those boys will be having meeting tomorrow by 8 PM Wednesday and Senator Abaribe (otu onu) will be there to address them and give them mobilization fee. They will be meeting at Abia Palm Estate in Ohambele, Ukwa-East Local Government Area. I think they have an insider who is telling them everything so they decided that we shall be meeting in the Bush inside Abia Palm Plantation where no one will ever think of. Senator Otu Onu will be there to talk to us except if he sends another person. Please tell the police and Alex Otti to monitor Senator Abaribe, my concern is that I do not want him to spoil the name of IPO Biafra, though he has been encouraging IPO Biafra but he should not use because of that and send us to cause problem in Abia State because of Alex Otti and Okezie Ikpeazu problem even though Senator Otu Onu and Wagbara have said that they will make Abia state hot for Alex Otti if they swear him in. They even said that Otti is working with APC and plan to use IPO Biafra to destabilize the state. I will keep giving you information even though they said all my guys will take oat (Mmuo) never to call their name if Police catches any of them.

Buhari Was Stoned In Bayelsa, Says Governor Dickson

Seriake Dickson, governor of Bayelsa state, on Monday said President Muhammadu Buhari was stoned in 2011 when he visited the state as the presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
Incidentally, Timipre Sylva, Dickson’s rival and candidate of the APC in the state governorship election, was the governor of Bayelsa at the time.

Addressing a press conference in Yenagoa, capital of the state, Dickson said he ensured that Buhari was secure during his visit to Bayelsa as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). “President Buhari, when he came to campaign as CPC candidate, was stoned,” he said. “But I granted state stadium to president Buhari, and made adequate security for his safety when he came to campaign again, because I knew that these people could harm him or people in his entourage and I didn’t want that to happen.”

Dickson also accused one of Buhari’s ministers, apparently Heineken Lokpobiri, of “terrorising” people of the state ahead of Saturday rerun election. The election, which held across the state on December 8, was rescheduled to January 9 in Southern Ijaw local government area and over 100 polling units in other local government areas, as a result of violence.

But Dickson placed the disturbances at the doorstep of his opponents, saying he remains a man of peace. He alleged that there were plans to rig Saturday election in favour of Sylva and called on the people to defend their votes. Dickson accused Sylva of using his influence to change the head of security agencies in the state in order to perfect his plot. “I’m the proponent of political tolerance in this state,” he said. “I don’t need anybody to kill and maim for me, I’m a man of peace and everybody knows. What we have seen is a subversion of our national security agencies. “The minister sent thugs to attack the collation centre, put off the community generator, storm the collation centre, took away the original ward result sheets, and also prevented the collation officers from completing their collations.

UN Secretary-General’s envoy to visit Saudi Arabia, Iran

Ban- Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary General

The United Nations spokesman, Steplane DuJarrick, has said the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, is visiting Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. DuJarrick told reporters on Monday in New York that de Mistura would also visit Iran later in the week.
He said during the visits, the Special Envoy would assess the implications of the recent developments between Saudi Arabia and Iran on the momentum of the Vienna process for Syria.

The spokesman said de Mistura believed the crisis in Saudi-Iranian relations ”is a very worrisome development”.

Mr. DuJarrick told reporters that the envoy stressed the need to ensure that the development did not cause a chain of adverse consequences in the region.

Saudi Arabia cut off diplomatic relations with Iran on Sunday, following the execution of Sheikh al-Nimr and 46 other prisoners by Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The Saudi authorities gave Iranian diplomats 48 hours to leave the country as the kingdom’s execution of the cleric inflamed sectarian tensions.

In another development, Mr. DuJarrick said the UN Mission in the Central African Republic reported that the National Elections Authority had released partial provisional results.

He said that the results were based on votes cast in eight prefectures and 15 per cent of votes cast outside of the country.

The spokesman said the election authority ”is expected to announce the final results by the end of this week and the Constitutional Court is due to confirm the results on Jan.15”.

He said that the Mission reported that 95 per cent of the polling stations were open on election day.
Mr. DuJarrick said the mission confirmed that the participation of voters in the prefectures was estimated to have reached 75 per cent.
