WE ARE NOT WINNING BOKO HARAM, WE ARE BEING KILLED, THEY ARE LYING – SOLDIER CRIES OUT

RIES OUT

We, the soldiers in Maiduguri, are losing patience, and we are planning massive protests in the country by January; then they will know our pains.
Here are the questions we want them to answer.

1. Is the Nigerian army really winning the war against the insurgency?

We are not winning the war against these people, if you will. Come to

any location across Maiduguri and interview the soldiers one by one – then you will know the pains we are passing through here. They keep deceiving Nigerians on media, sitting down in Abuja and telling the people what is happening in the theatre. Let them come and stay in these environment.

2. Are we really paid our entitlement as the soldiers who fight and die for their nation?

Why has Dambazau, who is now the minister of interior, suspended our allowances: TC allowance and furniture allowance? Why are the navy and the air forces still being paid their money? These questions should be forwarded to Dambazau.

3. Are the soldiers really equipped with good weapons to counter insurgents?

Recently some weaponry has been brought, however, most weapons we now use were bought by Goodluck Jonathan, when he postponed the last presidential election for six weeks, and the captured terrain was regained.

4. What are the tactics used in the war?

I must tell you there are no specific tactics being used. Whenever we go for any operation, we just move; most officers are so afraid that they just push the poor soldiers forward for them to remain at the rear.

5. Are we attacking the terrorists, or we are still sitting in ambush, waiting for them?

We are still sitting in ambush. Why is it so? The best form of defence is always attack. We wait for insurgents to attack and kill soldiers for nothing. The officers may lie to us that jet has bombarded the terrorists, and we should only go for mopping up. However, getting there we are likely see them waiting for us 5 km from the camp. There are saboteurs both of the upper and lower rank in the armed forces and the government.

6. Does the president visit the troops or send delegations to boost their morale?

What does President Muhammadu Buhari do to boost the morale of the troops in the war zone? Does he send delegations to visit us? No! He will never do this. Why is it so? Don’t get me wrong: the president is really trying to make sure the war is coming to an end.

7. Why do they sentence our fellow colleagues to 10-year imprisonments?

Why those generals stealing billions of naira are still walking and driving all over the country freely? There are the soldiers who were praying for Muhammadu Buhari to win during the last election so that he could at least understand since he was once in the system. Some of these poor soldiers are the bread winners in their families, I must tell you. But look at the outcome now. Where are those who stole the money meant to purchase arms for the troops, where are those who stole $1 billion? I feel that TB Joshua’s prophesy is coming into reality now.

8. How much is the operational allowance paid to the troops?

Why are we not paid our entitlement, even those who fought and died for their fatherland? When their families come to carry the corps, we are the ones to give them money to convey the corps.
They pay us just N30, 000 for an operation. Why do we work like elephants, and eat like ants in this country? Moreover, you will never see the money in two-three months. When we are out of town, our feeding is nothing to write home about. Most commanding officers spend the allowances meant for our colleagues lying in the hospital shot.

Where is the e-payment President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to provide the armed forces with? Let our salaries come directly from the CBN, and then nobody will have a chance to eat our money.
I must tell you the soldiers here are sick and tired of the everyday propaganda. If we don’t see any improvements by the end of January, there will be arrangeme

Abia North re-run Poll: Grassroots Movement Pledges Support for Kalu

Abia North re-run Poll: Grassroots Movement Pledges Support for Kaluouk s aw2
The bid of the former Governor of Abia State and Peoples Progressive Alliance (PPA) candidate for the Abia North senatorial re-run election, Dr. Orji Kalu, received another boost as a grassroots group, the Arochukwu Grassroots Movement (AGM) endorsed his ambition to emerge as the senator for the district.
Speaking on behalf of Arochukwu Grassroots Movement (AGM) in honour of the former governor at a reception, Mazi Ibe Joshua, described Kalu as the hope for the hopeless, noting that his intimidating credentials as a businessman and politician speaks volume of his capacity to drive the much anticipated and desired legislative agenda for the people of Abia North.

He said: “The verdict of the Court of Appeal calling for a fresh poll in Abia North Senatorial district is a testimony to the fact that a mandate can be stolen but cannot be denied.

The people voted en masse for Kalu at the March 28 National assembly poll but the people’s will was snatched by enemies of progress with the support of the then, federal and state governments. The time is now when the people’s will shall prevail.

“We are not afraid of supporting the former governor even though some elements on the other side are planning evil, we would uphold the doctrine of one man, one vote. The era of rigging and political intimidation is over, we believe in a free, fair and credible poll.

Kalu has done a lot for the people beyond his senatorial zone, we will throng out in -large numbers to show our loyalty by casting our votes for him”.

According to Hon. Chibuike Jonas, former Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government, who represented the businessman- cum politician at the event, only Kalu can take Abia North to the next level based on his political clout and network of contacts beyond the shores of Nigeria.

Sanusi, Sultan of Sokoto caught up in arms deal

The Leader of the Northern Elders Council, NEC, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has admitted that he and 8 other prominent northerners received the sum of N53 million from the Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki through the Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustee Chairman, Tony Anenih.
He added that the money was meant for advocacy visit to traditional rulers in the region for them to mobilize their subjects in order for the 2015 general elections to be hitch free.

This came barely 24 hours after Anenih wrote a letter to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, disclosing that he gave Yakasai N53 million.

Yakasai on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 confirmed to Vanguard that, “yes, myself and 8 others collected N53m from Chief Tony Anenih to pay advocacy visit to prominent northern emirs to mobilise their subjects for a hitch-free 2015 general elections”.

He explained that the development followed a request by Anenih to make available to him a list of “nine apolitical but respected individuals from the North.”

He declared that the N53m disbursed to his team by Anenih took care of the group members’ allowances, transportation and hotels accommodation on a tour that took them to 18 states in the North.

He maintained that, “I want to make it abundantly clear that I didn’t received money from Chief Anenih in my private capacity as Tanko Yakasai but to patriotic individuals who are interested in the peaceful coexistence of the polity.”

Yakasai, who insisted that the fund had nothing to do with campaigns for former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s re-election bid, listed former Minister of state, foreign Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Anka, Barrister Bitrus Gwada and Alhaji Suleiman Lawal as beneficiaries of the money doled out by Anenih.

He named other top apolitical but respected northern individual beneficiaries to include: Dr Bahago, Chief John Macklink from Plateau, and Senator Sodangi.

Yakasai, disclosed that his team visited the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris and the Emir of Gwandu.

Other first class chief visited were listed as: the emir of Anka, Emir of Ilorin, Emir of Nassarawa, Minnie, Bauchi, Zuru, Kebbi, Katsina, Dutse, Hadejia and Representatives of the Emir of Daurawa, as well as the Tor Tiv, the Gwom Gbom Jos, Ohimege Igu, Kotonkarfe, Etsu of Abaji, Etsu Nupe and Atta of Igala.

It is yet unclear if the names mentioned above were recipient of parts of the N53 million disbursed. Yakasai had last week denied ever receiving financial patronage from members of the previous administration during an interview, stressing that he didn’t receive money’s directly from the former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Anarchy Looms As Buhari Makes Pronouncement Of Death On The Constitution (READ)

Anarchy looms when chief law compliant becomes chief law breaker under a democratic dispensation. The Federation of Nigeria under Muhammadu Buhari is both in danger and endangered. Though President Muhammadu Buhari’s open and brazen contempt for constitutionalism and rule of law during his last night’s maiden presidential chat is condemned by all and sundry; but his courage to declare same openly is commendable. Nigerians and members of the international community are now fully aware that President Muhammadu Buhari is the chief law breaker and chief enemy of constitutionalism and rule of law in Nigeria.

Also as far as the President is concerned, it is either that there is no rule of law and separation of powers in Nigeria or their existence amounts to executive appendages. President Muhammadu Buhari has in black and white convicted and jailed the duo of Citizens Nnamdi Kanu and Sambo Dasuki and magisterially prepared them for capital punishments at his designated time. Mr. President is now the accuser, the arresting authority, detainer, investigator, prosecutor, convicting and sentencing authority as well as the executor. This is ANARCHY in its entirety!

The words of President Muhammadu Buhari are now vox dei, supreme and meta-constitutional. In the history of judiciary and rule of law in Nigeria, they have never received the kind of mockery and contempt being received under the nascent Buhari administration. All our critical and unbiased advocacy positions taken against the Buhari administration prior and after his presidential inauguration have come to pass. We had as early as May 2015; weeks before his presidential inauguration, called upon his political party (APC) to send him to the National Democratic Institute in USA so as to be tutored on tenets of democracy, constitutionalism and rule of law as well as political tolerance and politics of inclusiveness.

Sadly, his party marked us out as one of its enemies till date. When clear signs of dictatorship and its triggers began to unfold and take their positions; we, again, cried out, but nobody bordered to listen. The country’s leading agents of democracy and rule of law pretended and the pretence became a case of a certain reverend during the dying days of the second world war; who refused to act or speak out when Nazi fighters came for the Jews and others in turn; until they came for him and members of his ethnic origin. Dictatorship is like a swarm of bees that knows no friend or enemy when on rampage. Today, Buhari’s wind of dictatorship is sweeping and threatening the foundation of the judiciary, which is not only the bastion of democracy, but also the socio-economic livewire of the country’s legal profession.
The human rights movement, community and practices in Nigeria are also under serious threat; the unholy union between the Buhari and his APC and leading Southwest dominated rights CSOs; leading to consistent and conspiratorial unholy advocacy silence, notwithstanding. All the coercive establishments in Nigeria have suddenly become murderous, lawless and corruptively uncontrollable. Roadblock, pre-detention and pretrial bribes are riotously demanded by security forces; with instant death and physical and mental barbarous treatments as consequences for those daring not to pay.

Apart from incoherence and uncoordinated nature of Buhari’s maiden media chat, the President’s open opposition to rule of law and constitutionalism is an open invitation to anarchy and lawlessness in Nigeria. In the security forces’ circles, it will lead to return to “I can kill you and nothing will happen” or “your long detention without trial is sequel to orders from above”. Present IGP, Solomon Arase, is reported already to have used it in the case of detained Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky in response to a request by the latter’s relatives and lawyers to visit him in detention. The President’s open contempt to constitutionalism and rule of law can also bring about mass resort to self help and civil disobedience as well as disrespect and degradation of social values and sharp increase in criminal activities particularly street and cyber crimes, domestic violence and communal and urban neighborhood violence.

Remedies: As we have always been doing, for any advocacy criticism we hand down against any ill-fated government policy or conduct, it must be accompanied with a critically considered solution or way out. This is occasioned by our firm conviction of putting in our best for collective betterment of the society. One of the remedies to tackle President Buhari’s blundered and vexatious maiden media chat is to beg all Nigerians not to resort to self help and civil disobedience on account of Buhari’s open contempt to constitutionalism and rule of law. It must be noted that President Buhari cannot give what he does not have. An example is biblical Paul (Saul) and Peter in matters of knowledge and wisdom.

Also no matter how neat a mother dresses her child and ties him or her on her back, once he or she is detached from her mother’s back, he or she relapses on the ground and becomes dusty in a twinkle of an eye. If South Africans can manage their stark illiterate President Jacob Zuma, Nigerians can as well manage their not-too-educated President. Other than the above, President Muhammadu Buhari’s private and public affairs managers have a lot of work to do. A ceremonious written speech is totally not the same as “live media chat”, which is “extempore”. The President must be taken back to a mini thinker’s corner inside the Aso Rock Villa or State House and be properly brushed and made to realize the difference between the world of “1984-1985” and 2015. In the world of “1984-1985”, for instance, Soviet Union or Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was still one country, but in the world of 2015, it is now moribund with 15 distinct countries; likewise former East and West Germany, now United Germany; Czechoslovakia, now Czech and Slovakia; and former Yugoslavia, now moribund with six distinct States.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s private and public affairs managers must importantly make him to realize that it is legislatively impeachable for a democratic and constitutional President to openly and inexcusably lend credence or justify his disobedience to judicial pronouncements as well as unconstitutional infringement of the constitutional and judicial liberties of his fellow Nigerians whom he merely accused of being in conflict with the law; who must enjoy their constitutional rights to fair hearing and presumption of innocence until judicially found guilty. Mr. President must also be reminded by his kitchen and public affairs managers that his open admission of disobedience to court orders and opposition to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution including constitutional and judicial bails amount to grave violation of Section 1 (3) of the 1999 Constitution (supremacy of the Constitution above any other law or presidential pronouncement).

Another remedy to tackle the blundered and vexatious maiden media chat of President Buhari is for Nigerians to ignore his anti constitutionalism and rule of law stance and reassert their total faith in the judiciary, rule of law and constitutionalism. These three are pillars all Nigerians must stand up and protect at all times for our common good. This is more so when the same judiciary, rule of law and constitutionalism that President Buhari is rapaciously mocking and disrespecting today, will surely come to his rescue someday especially now that it is obvious to him and his followers that when civil power changes to another civil powers; the hunters of today will become the hunted of tomorrow.

As for security forces and their headships that have become murderous, lawless and corruptively uncontrollable overnight, on account of President Buhari’s dictatorial disposition and anti human rights stance; they must retrace their murderous and lawless steps and ignore elements in the camp of a former President, who reportedly encouraged them periodically to continue their atrocious conducts, citing the cases of unaddressed Odi and Zakibiam massacres among similar atrocious others. They must be reminded that the hitherto global culture of impunity for varying atrocities like crimes against humanity, is steadily waning and culture of criminal responsibility is now the order of the day.

Finally, we call upon the families, followers, supporters, friends and lawyers of those citizens accused openly by President Muhammadu Buhari of being in conflict with the law particularly the trios of Citizens Nnamdi Kanu, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and Sambo Dasuki not to be cowed by any presidential intimidation; but to have implicit confidence in judiciary as the country’s bastion of democracy and last hope of the common man. The culture of disobedience to court orders adopted consequent upon the direct orders of President Buhari as well as the attitude of resorting to “re-arrest” and slamming of fresh charges should not deter them as well.

In handling these, in addition to preparation of their defense and bail applications; their lawyers must not lose the sight of clear provisions of Sections 36 (8), 36 (12) and 35 of the 1999 Constitution as well as Sections 293 to 296 and 150 to 188 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act of 2015. These provisions are adequate safeguards to crush the criminal investigative and prosecutorial gambling and ouster practices presently adopted by the Presidency of Muhammadu Buhari. Let them continue to disobey court ordered bails and go on and on in re-arresting the accused and re-charging them until graver felonies in the Criminal Code are exhausted; resulting to them being charged for “common or simple assault”.

Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report the reason why the Nigeria police shut the innocent Ngwa man taking the corpse of his father to the mortuary has not be ascertained.
More details coming soon…

IT IS BETTER TO USE DSS TO CUT RECKLESS POLITICIANS TO THEIR SIZES IN ABIA STATE THAN USING KIDNAPPERS.

Let it be clear to everybody in Abia State that PDP is now an opposition party. The duty of the opposition is to oppose bad policies and not to impose. They have lost the control of the government even though they are still occupying the position temporarily. They must not forget that they are outgoing government. The earlier they understand it the better for them than crying like hen that lost its chicks. Those protesting in order to impose their sacked governorship candidate that was legally removed are doing political masturbation because when the judgement was in their favour no one goes to street protesting it. Even those insulting people on social media in the name of supporting Abia PDP should check their psycho. Such persons or people are prodigal in nature. Any parent that has a child that is still supporting PDP especially in Abia State, forget about the child because she or she is a lost child and might hardly be useful. What reason will you give to continue supporting PDP in Abia State, is it that someone underdeveloped the state as a governor for 8 years and later shameless took senators to inspect how much he underdeveloped the state. Is it that someone never remember that there should be a scholarship board for his 8 years of administration and now as senator listing students for bursaries -Kangaroo scholarship while some senseless maggots looking for free roadside faeces to devour are there shouting scholarship! Scholarship!! My Abia people should know that there is difference between scholarship and bursary who even knows whether it is real or not after all roads were built in the pages of newspapers before now in Abia State. There is big difference between supporting PDP in Abia from supporting Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. The people protesting are protesting for PDP and their stomach not for Ikpeazu. They are protesting because of monthly payola been shared to them from the state allocation. They are protesting for their stomach infrastructure and not against the ruling of the well deserved appeal court verdicts. That is why they are hiding under tribal or sectional sentiment and flaming the state polity. One might ask how to separate Dr. Ikpeazu from PDP; the answer is for another day but anyone protesting for Ikpeazu Okezie who looks peaceful without making vituperative or cacophonous statement should never incite anyone to violent. If they are the disciples of Ikpeazu, they should really be acting like their master but every sensible person knows the disciples of who they are. For Example when they robbed Dr. Uche Ogah his victory in PDP primaries, we all wanted to rise against it through protest, but Dr. Ogah as a proven peaceful and humble man calmed all of us his supporters down. That time, all of us that saw him as a promising messiah of Abia State should have set the state ablaze. But his words I quote “Chuks Politics should not be do or die affairs and after politics there is another place (heaven) we are going” this words alone made me believe that there are still wheat in the means of weeds. Anybody having sympathy with corrupt filled party or pressure group like PDP Abia State is either corrupt or have stealing and crime in bloodline, if not its father, it will be great grandfather. Good people should never have moral support for crime. Any man that said he has not cried before even when bereaved should visit Aba, Abia state, he or she must have reason to cry. Abia state voted for Alex Otti not because of where they are but because of where they are going. Whether Alex Otti is a saint or not, Alex Otti is a step to where Abia is going. Alex Otti might not be the Jesus Christ of Abia State but he is a John the Baptist of Abia State the forerunner to set precedence. It is senseless for people to be shouting on media when a decent law enforcement agency is doing their Job and they called it witch hurting. Anyway witch hunting is for the witches and wizards and if ones hands are clean why being afraid of DSS. Are people not more secured to cut them to their sizes with DSS than using kidnappers that was been used to against the opposition in Abia State? If reckless politicians in Abia State are crying like this with just DSS visiting, Ebere Nwaagbara should have been crying more because what happened to him should better imagine than experience. DSS should be a soft landing for reckless politicians in Abia State who do not mind their utterances and are flaming the polity because at the end, they would not be asked to pay ransom to release if they are not find wanting. Let the happenings of this season in Abia state be a lesson to everybody because no one is above the law and people should control their tongues and amend their ways. The displays we saw during election in Abia state is even enough for DSS to be visiting more people, Abia was hot during election and the people faced lots of intimidation therefore more people need to call for questioning. As far as Abia issue is concern, DSS should be commended not criticized; they should extend their visiting not only in Abia South but also in Abia Central and North. Those that made attempts on the life or plotted against Dr. Uche Ogah (which was exposed) should also call for questioning because everybody heard when he raised the alarm and never hear that the matter has been investigated. DSS should even give Abians platform to reach them directly so that more information should be given to them on security matters any moment there is need to do so. Rule of Law must be supreme in Abia State and everybody should mind his words and actions irrespective of political ambition and demands.
